With the large scale automotive production and high flexible assembly line, the OEMs have the new challenge on real-time material replenishment. This paper analyzes the current research and application on material replenishment model, line feeding strategies, and distribution control. A TPL based assembly line feeding service frame is proposed. The mode, calculation logic and service flow of material line feeding are discussed in detail. The application results shows that it can satisfy the assembly line real-time material replenishment requirements, reduce the inventory by the line, and further balance the volatility of production material pulling. And through it, the TPL also expands its value-added service content.
