This paper describes the design and the execution of a speed control system for a rotary hydraulic actuator by using solenoid valves. The design is to control the rotational velocity (or the speed) of a hydraulic motor without using neither a variable hydraulic pump nor a variable hydraulic motor.  With analysis by the simulation using the package, V 4.2p/1.67 of FluidSIM 4 from FESTO. It is possible to predict the output of the rotational velocity (rpm) and next could take the right decision about the correct specifications of the system components to meet the requirements.

Backlash is one of several discontinuities found in different kinds of systems, it can be found in actuators of different types, such as mechanical and hydraulic, giving way to unwanted effects in the system behavior. PI loop shaping control design implementing a describing function to find the limit cycle oscillations and the appropriate control gain is developed. Therefore a frequency domain approach is implemented for the control of nonlinear system of any kind such as robotics, mechatronics, other kind of mechanisms, electrical motors etc. Finally, in order to corroborate the theoretical background explained in this article, the stabilization of a cart-pendulum system with the proposed control strategy is shown.

Flexible solar panels play an essential role in the field of aerospace. However, many difficulties appear in the control design due to the existence of a weakly damped resonance module. The design for flexible systems often causes an unstable controller so that the systems after design still have trouble in putting into practice. We adopt H∞ loop-shaping design and put forward a directive method for selecting the weighting function. The simulation results indicate that system bandwidth is optimized based on the stable controller. In this way, the control precision and response speed of the system are improved. In the meantime, the system is easy to put into use.
