Background: Erbium chromium or erbium lasers constitute preferred instruments for the preparation of that section of tooth adjacent to the pulp chamber rather than high-speed drills, especially in cases of dental injury. Their advantages can support modified operations in achieving optimum recovery and avoiding complications related to the healing process. Purpose: The aim of the study was to describe another modality of the assistance of erbium, chromium:yattrium-scandium-gallium-garnet (Er,Cr:YSGG) laser in traumarelated pulp injury affecting the anterior teeth. Case(s): The results of laser treatment applied to four pulp injuries of three children were analyzed in this case report. Case Management: Er,Cr:YSGG laser-assisted cavity preparation was performed without resort to a local anesthetic, the cavities being sealed with mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA). None of the cases demonstrated symptomatic or peri-radicular pathology during clinical or radiographic examinations. Conclusion: The results contained in this case report support the application in pediatric dentistry of a Er,Cr:YSGG laser to pulpotomy cavities as part of the treatment of traumatic pulpal injuries to permanent incisors.

AbstractInjury to anterior teeth is a relatively common event. Dentists regularly deal with management of dental trauma and restoration of fractured teeth. Hence the treatment approach and medicaments that assures the biologically acceptable healing and improve long term success rate are of potential value and should be considered.A big cystic lesion, which is unable to heal non-surgically, heals well with use of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA Angelus) by surgical approach. Results of clinical trials have recommended the use of MTA as the most suitable root end filling material. This article presents the case report of management of big cystic lesion along with the lateral root perforation with maxillary left central incisor. Root canal treatment was followed by the resection of root end of tooth in question at the level of perforation and sealed with MTA. 12 month's follow up radiograph showed completely healed Cystic lesion.

Root coverage in the mandibular anterior region is challenging because of a thin gingival biotype, shallow vestibule, and high frenum attachment. Several methods have been introduced to predict the root coverage in this area. Stimmelmayr proposed a method of performing root coverage using a combination epithelialized-subepithelial connective tissue graft (CTG). However, it is difficult to precisely acquire connective tissue according to this method. Therefore, in this case report, we would like to introduce a technique to harvest a partially deepithelialized CTG (PE-CTG) aided by a high-speed handpiece, which helps in procuring the graft easily and quickly. This method could lower the patient’s morbidity at donor sites and enhance the healing process. Additionally, it could increase the amount of keratinized gingiva in the mandibular anterior region without reducing the vestibular depth. Therefore, PE-CTG using a high-speed handpiece can be a promising treatment option for the root coverage of the mandibular anterior teeth.

Objective: to emphasize the importance of Pediatric Dentistry in the dental treatment planning as a first step of rehabilitation in a pediatric patient diagnosed with Cleidocranial Dysplasia (CCD). Case Report: this study presents the case of a ten years old girl, with CCD diagnosis, which attended the Sector of Pediatric Dentistry of São Leopoldo Mandic School of Dentistry - Campinas / São Paulo sent by orthopedist, your main complaint was the delay on superior anterior teeth irruption. Needs preventive, curative, rehabilitative, orthodontic and surgical dental treatment. After an interdisciplinary planning, a treatment proposal was nominated and accepted by responsibles’ patient.

AbstractThe present case report describes management of two cases with complicated coronal fracture where fractured fragments were reattached, before reattachment of fractured fragments pulpotomy was performed in both cases using different pulpotomy agents, calcium hydroxide in patient with immature apex and mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) in patient where root development was complete. Both the patients were evaluated for sign and symptoms for a period of 18 months with successful outcome.

Introduction. Restorative dental treatment of patients with a generalized form of amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) remains a challenge even today. The treatment approach is multidisciplinary and includes action of several dental disciplines such as restorative, orthodontic, and prosthetic dental specialties. Case report. A 18-year-old female patent was referred to the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Periodontology at the Military Medical Academy of Belgrade, Serbia. She was diagnosed with AI and formerly had been treated for a long period of time at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. Her primary concern upon arrival was discomfort and concern for the esthetic appearance of the anterior teeth. The treatment was done with the modified clear matrix technique used in composite veneer restoration of teeth in the esthetic zone. Conclusion. Because fixed prosthetic restoration with crowns, is the final treatment of AI patients it involves severe tooth structure loss. The clear matrix method which was done in this case allowed for greater comfort, functionality, simplicity, speed, greater economic efficiency and tooth structure preservation.

Abstract The case report describes the treatment of maxillary central incisors with open apex, due to apical root resorption, as a consequence of trauma experienced three years earlier. Open apices pose a challenge during endodontic treatment. Several materials and methods have been widely studied and tried in the past. Obtaining an adequate apical seal is of paramount importance regardless of the material or technique used. In the present case the involved teeth were treated nonsurgically using white Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) as an artificial apical barrier. The treated teeth were asymptomatic and the follow up clinical and radiographic examination showed healing with apparent regeneration of periradicular tissues. Extrusion of MTA beyond the root end was not an obstacle in the healing process. MTA can be considered an effective material to treat infected open apex teeth with large periapical lesions.
