This research aims to examine the nexus between Earnings Response Coefficient (ERC), Sharia Online Trading System (SOTS), and firm value. The research sample was all companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). The research model used path analysis employing the regression with common, fixed and random effect models as well as the robustness check through Generalized Method of Moment (GMM). The result demonstrates that ERC and SOTS can’t determine the level of firm values. This research found no effects of ERC and SOTS on firm value, but nexus between ERC and SOTS was found. These findings indicate that ERC and SOTS have no effect at all on the firm value, meanwhile ERC has the negative effect on SOTS. Nevertheless, the result of this research found no intervening effect of SOTS on the ERC and firm Value. It shows that SOTS can’t mediate the nexus between ERC and firm value.

This study aims to examine the effect of earnings management and earnings persistence on earnings response coefficient. The sample of research is consumer sector company period 2013 - 2016 which listed in Indonesia stock exchange. The results showed that earnings management had a negative effect not significant on the income response coefficient. The earnings management will reduce the quality of earnings that will negatively reacted investors. While earnings persistence positive effect on earnings response coefficient.

Sampk which are used on this sntdy are 390 data of mmufacturing corporations in Indonesig. Ihe period of study is 1995-2004. There are two models used, first model to determining earnings response coefficient and second rnodel to testing factors which in/luence euningsresponse coefficient. Stotistic models which ue used are multipleregressions.  The results are beta has negative effect on earnings response coefiicient, leverage has negative efiect on earnings response coefficient, eorning growth has positive inJluences to the earnings response coefficient atter being controlled by other variable and size has negative effect on eunings response coeficient.Kqtwords: Earnings Response Coeficient (ERC), Return, Unexpected Earning Per Share

The objective of this study is to examine whether corporate governance influence the relation between accounting conservatism and Earnings Response Coefficient (ERC). The accounting conservatism proxy used in this research is accruals obtained from differences between net income and cash flow. Sample consists of 31 manufacturing companies that listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange since 20032006. Hypotheses are examined by using multiple regressions. The result shows that there is a negative influence of accounting conservatism to Earnings Response Coefficient. Managerial ownership as a moderating variable did not affect the relation between accounting conservatism and Earnings Response Coefficient, but independent board of commissioner composition as a moderating variable affected the relation between accounting conservatism and Earnings Response Coefficient.

This research objective is to axamine empirically the influence of earnings management on earnings quality. The study motivated by the controversy of previous study about earnings management and earnings quality. Earnings management was measured by Discretionary Accrual and earnings quality was measured by Earnings Response Coefficient (ERC). The units were 128 (16x8) Quartal financial report in manufacturing companies listed in the Jakarta Stock Exchange, started from the year 2005 up to 2006. The data was collected using purposive sampling method. Statistical method used to test the hypotheses was multiple regressions. The result of the research showed that: the influence of earnings management on earnings quality was negative, sig 0.049. It means that the lower earnings management will be followed by higher earnings quality. This study supported the result of Fetham and Pae (2000), Nelson et al. (2000), Scott (2000), Lobo and Zhou (2001), also Teixeira (2002), Pudjiastuti (2006).

This paper investigates how investments in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities affect firm value. We categorise firms’ CSR activities as strategic or opportunistic based on consistency, and analyse the differential value relevance effect. We use the Egyptian Economic Justice Index (EEJI) as the most representative measure for firms’ CSR activities in Egypt. To measure valuation effect, we adopt an earnings response coefficient (ERC) model. Our main explanatory variables are interaction variables with unexpected earnings and two dummy variables; one indicating CSR activities, and one indicating their consistency. We document these variables as positively and negatively significant. Our findings show that investing in CSR activities consistently and strategically may increase firm’s profitability and firm value. However, firms that sporadically invest in CSR activities show a smaller relationship between unexpected earnings and stock returns than firms that consistently invest in CSR activities.

The users of financial statements require quality and relevant earnings information to be used in decision-making process. The purpose of this study is to determine the significant effect of audit opinion information that contained in the companies' annual report against the quality and relevance earnings information, which measured by Earning Response Coefficient or ERC. This research used control variables, which are beta, leverage, and PBV. The tests conducted in this study were normality test using normal probability plot, the autocorrelation test using Durbin-Watson, multicollinearity test using the value of tolerance and VIF, and heteroscedasticity test using the scatter plot graphic. The hypotheses were tested by using multiple regressions.  The results of the study showed that PBV had significant impact on ERC, and indicated that investors had not appreciated the audit opinion information disclosed by the companies in their annual reports for their investment decision. Keywords: Audit Opinion, Beta, Earnings Response Coefficient, Leverage, Price to Book Value.
