We consider the inverse function $z=g(w)$ of a (normalized) starlike function $w=f(z)$ of order $\alpha$ on the unit disk of the complex plane with $0<\alpha<1.$ Krzy{\. z}, Libera and Z\l otkiewicz obtained sharp estimates of the second and the third coefficients of $g(w)$ in their 1979 paper. Prokhorov and Szynal gave sharp estimates of the fourth coefficient of $g(w)$ as a consequence of the solution to an extremal problem in 1981. We give a straightforward proof of the estimate of the fourth coefficient of $g(w)$ together with explicit forms of the extremal functions.

A parabolic starlike functionfof orderρin the unit disk is characterized by the fact that the quantityzf′(z)/f(z)lies in a given parabolic region in the right half-plane. Denote the class of such functions byPS∗(ρ). This class is contained in the larger class of starlike functions of orderρ. Subordination results forPS∗(ρ)are established, which yield sharp growth, covering, and distortion theorems. Sharp bounds for the first four coefficients are also obtained. There exist different extremal functions for these coefficient problems. Additionally, we obtain a sharp estimate for the Fekete-Szegö coefficient functional and investigate convolution properties forPS∗(ρ).

We consider the inverse function z=g(w)=w+b2w2+⋯ of a normalized convex univalent function w=f(z)=z+a2z2+⋯ on the unit disk in the complex plane. So far, it is known that |bn|≤1 for n=2,3,⋯,8. On the other hand, the inequality |bn|≤1 is not valid for n=10. It is conjectured that |b9|≤1. The present paper offers the estimate |b9|<1.617.

<p>In this paper we study the class \(\mathcal{U}\) of functions that are analytic in the open unit disk \(D =\{z : |z| &lt; 1\}\), normalized such that\(f(0) = f'(0)-1 = 0\) and satisfy \[\left|\left[\frac{z}{f(z)}\right]^2f'(z) - 1\right|&lt; 1\quad  (z\in D).\]<br />For functions in the class \(\mathcal{U}\) we give sharp estimates of the second and the third Hankel determinant, its relationship with the class of \(\alpha\)-convex functions, as well as certain starlike properties.</p>

AbstractLet f be analytic in the unit disk $${\mathbb {D}}=\{z\in {\mathbb {C}}:|z|<1 \}$$ D = { z ∈ C : | z | < 1 } , and $${{\mathcal {S}}}$$ S be the subclass of normalized univalent functions given by $$f(z)=z+\sum _{n=2}^{\infty }a_n z^n$$ f ( z ) = z + ∑ n = 2 ∞ a n z n for $$z\in {\mathbb {D}}$$ z ∈ D . We give sharp bounds for the modulus of the second Hankel determinant $$ H_2(2)(f)=a_2a_4-a_3^2$$ H 2 ( 2 ) ( f ) = a 2 a 4 - a 3 2 for the subclass $$ {\mathcal F_{O}}(\lambda ,\beta )$$ F O ( λ , β ) of strongly Ozaki close-to-convex functions, where $$1/2\le \lambda \le 1$$ 1 / 2 ≤ λ ≤ 1 , and $$0<\beta \le 1$$ 0 < β ≤ 1 . Sharp bounds are also given for $$|H_2(2)(f^{-1})|$$ | H 2 ( 2 ) ( f - 1 ) | , where $$f^{-1}$$ f - 1 is the inverse function of f. The results settle an invariance property of $$|H_2(2)(f)|$$ | H 2 ( 2 ) ( f ) | and $$|H_2(2)(f^{-1})|$$ | H 2 ( 2 ) ( f - 1 ) | for strongly convex functions.

Let Δ denote the unit disk in the complex plane C. The space BMO has been extensively studied by many authors (see [3] for a good exposition of this topic). Recently, the subspace BMOA (Δ) has become a topic of interest. An analytic function f, in the Hardy class H2(A), belongs to BMOA (Δ) if(1)whereIt is known (see [3, p. 96]) that (1) is equivalent to(2)

In this paper we consider a subclass of strongly spirallike functions on the unit diskDin the complex planeC, namely, strongly almost spirallike functions of typeβand orderα. We obtain the growth results for strongly almost spirallike functions of typeβand orderαon the unit diskDinCby using subordination principles and the geometric properties of analytic mappings. Furthermore we get the growth theorems for strongly almost starlike functions of orderαand strongly starlike functions on the unit diskDofC. These growth results follow the deviation results of these functions.

In this paper, by making use of the principle of strong subordination, we establish some interesting properties of multivalent analytic functions defined in the open unit disk and closed unit disk of the complex plane associated with Dziok-Srivastava operator.

AbstractLet m, n be nonnegative integers and B(m+n) be a set of m + n + 1 real interpolation points (not necessarily distinct). Let Rm,n = Pm,n/Qm.n be the unique rational function with deg Pm,n ≤ m, deg Qm,n ≤ n, that interpolates ex in the points of B(m+n). If m = mv, n = nv with mv + nv → ∞, and mv / nv → λ as v → ∞, and the sets B(m+n) are uniformly bounded, we show that locally uniformly in the complex plane C, where the normalization Qm,n(0) = 1 has been imposed. Moreover, for any compact set K ⊂ C we obtain sharp estimates for the error |ez — Rm,n(z)| when z ∈ K. These results generalize properties of the classical Padé approximants. Our convergence theorems also apply to best (real) Lp rational approximants to ex on a finite real interval.

Sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure starlikeness of positive order for analytic functions defined in the open unit disk satisfying certain third-order differential inequalities. As a consequence, conditions for starlikeness of functions defined by integral operators are obtained. Connections are also made to earlier known results.

Let D be the unit disk in the complex plane C and denote T=∂D. Write Hom+T,∂Ω for the class of all sense-preserving homeomorphism of T onto the boundary of a C2 convex Jordan domain Ω. In this paper, five equivalent conditions for the solutions of triharmonic equations ∂z∂z¯3ω=ff∈CD¯ with Dirichlet boundary value conditions ωzz¯zz¯T=γ2∈CT,ωzz¯T=γ1∈CT and ωT=γ0∈Hom+T,∂Ω to be Lipschitz continuous are presented.
