A calculation of the phonon contribution to the coherent transport between two-dimensional (2D) lattices is presented in this paper. The model structure is obtained by the juxtaposition of semi-infinites square ([Formula: see text] and triangular ([Formula: see text] leads, which thus define the nanojunction [Formula: see text]/[Formula: see text] and its inverse [Formula: see text]/[Formula: see text]. We determine, numerically and by simulation, the 2D interface observables for different values of masses and elastic coupling in the nanojunction zone. The local dynamics and atomic nanojunction response to the microscopic changes, in the interfacial domain, are subjects to our investigation. The theoretical formalism based on the matching technique is applied to describe the lattice dynamics and the evanescent phonon modes, in the two studied 2D interfaces. We mainly analyze the vibration spectra, the coherent phonon transmission/reflection and the phononic transmittance through the interface, as elements of a Landauer–Büttiker type scattering matrix. The obtained results show that the nanojunction domain is an effective phonon splitter and suggest that its characteristics may be controlled by varying its nanometric parameters. The observed fluctuations are due to the coherent coupling between continuum modes and the phonons’ discrete states induced by the connected atomic sites.

In the usual holographic approach to QCD, the meson spectrum is generated due to a nontrivial five-dimensional background. We propose an alternative five-dimensional scenario in which the spectrum emerges due to coupling to a scalar field whose condensation is supposed to be dual to the formation of gluon condensate and mimics the scale anomaly in QCD. The spectrum of model has finite number of discrete states plus continuum and reveals a Regge-like behavior in the strong coupling regime.

This paper describes a new concept of flight crew assessment based on flight simulators training result. It is based on representation of pilot gaze movement with the aid of continuous-time Markov processes with discrete states. Considered are both the procedure of model parameters identification provided with goodness-of-fit tests in use and the classifier-building technique, which makes it possible to estimate degree of correspondence between the observed gaze motion distribution under study and reference distributions identified for different diagnosed groups. The final assessing criterion is formed on the basis of integrated diagnostic parameters, which are determined by the parameters of the identified models. The article provides a description of the experiment, illustrations, and results of studies aimed at assessing the reliability of the developed models and criteria, as well as conclusions about the applicability of the approach, its advantages and disadvantages.

<div class="MsoTitle" style="margin: 12pt 0in 15pt;"><p>An AHP matrix of the quotients of the pair comparison priorities is transformed to a matrix of shares of the preferences which can be used in Markov stochastic modeling via the Chapman-Kolmogorov system of equations for the discrete states. It yields a general solution and the steady-state probabilities. The AHP priority vector can be interpreted as these probabilities belonging to the discrete states corresponding to the compared items. The results of stochastic modeling correspond to robust estimations of priority vectors not prone to influence of possible errors among the elements of a pairwise comparison matrix.</p></div><div class="MsoTitle" style="margin: 12pt 0in 15pt;"> </div>
