SUMMARY The use of the direct fiber-reinforced fixed dental prosthesis (FDP) restorative technique presented in this article will result in an ideal restoration considering both esthetics and function in a single appointment. Although indirect techniques are available and may be used, they are time-consuming, resulting in higher cost; therefore, a simplified approach combining a prebonded fiber-reinforced mesh with a sculptable micro-hybrid composite will deliver an acceptable esthetic result with proper function.

Quantitative or qualitative defect in the synthesis of enamel is termed as enamel hypoplasia, clinically seen as depressions or grooves on the surface due to layer reduction. Pathognomonic features include symmetric manner and ring like defects. Early detection of theses lesions would prevent further breakdown in enamel and thus providing better outcome in terms of esthetics and function. The complexity of the treatment procedures to be reduced before the lesions multiply and attain severity, thereby reducing the morbidity associated with the disease. In this scientific article, we highlight a clinical condition of enamel hypopaisa in relation to left maxillary central incisor 21 in a 9 year old female. The condition was managed in conservative manner of tooth colored restoraion thereby restoring esthetics and function.

ABSTRACT Crown fractures of the anterior teeth are a common form of dental trauma mainly affecting children and adolescents. One of the options for managing crown fractures is the reattachment of the fractured fragment when the tooth fragment is available with minimal or no violation of the biological width. Reattachment of fractured fragments can provide good esthetics, as it maintains the tooth's original anatomic form, color, and surface texture. It also restores function and is a relatively simple procedure. This case report deals with the esthetic management of a crown-root fracture that was successfully treated with endodontic treatment followed by reattachment of fractured fragment with fiber post. Resin bonded fixed dental prosthesis offers most conservative and cost-effective option with missing teeth in aesthetic zone specially when an implant prosthesis is not indicated. This case report describes a treatment option for the replacement of a missing maxillary central incisor using a double-retainer resin-bonded fixed partial denture (RBFPD), fabricated from zirconium dioxide (ZrO) ceramic. No clinical complications were observed at follow-up examination after placement of the prosthesis. Satisfactory functional and aesthetic results were achieved. A treatment modality using a ZrO ceramic RBFPD is an alternative for single anterior tooth replacement.
