A field experiment was carried out during summer season of 2013 and 2014 to find out the effect of inorganic and bio-fertilizers on the growth, yield and quality of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) cv. Pusa Hybrid -2. The results revealed that plants growth and yield of tomato can be increased with the application of Azospirillum along with recommended dose of NPK (120kg N + 60kg P + 60kg K/ha). The ascorbic acid content of fruits were found maximum with the 80kg N + 40kg P + 60kg K/ha with Azospirillum. The TSS was improved by the application of 80kg N + 40kg P + 60kg K/ha with Phosphobacteria.

نُفِّذت تجربة في اصص بلاستيكية في احد المشاتل التابعة المدينة الديوانية أثناء موسم (2017–2018), لمعرفة تأثير تراكيز مختلفة من حامض الاسكوربيك Ascorbic acid والسماد العضوي seamino في مؤشرات النمو وحاصل نبات طماطم Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.. صُمِّمتْ التجربة بالقطاعات العشوائية الكاملة Randomized Complete Blocks Design (RCBD) وبثلاثة مُكررات في تنظيم عاملي لعاملين (3 ×3), الأول شمِل ثلاثة تراكيز لحامض الاسكوربيك (0, 2,3  ) غرام/ لتر و الثاني ثلاث تراكيز من السماد العضوي  seamino(0,3 ,4) مل/ لتر. وإستُعمِلَ في مُقارنة المُتوسِطات إختبار أقل فرق معنوي المُعدَّل Revised Least Significant Difference (RLSD) عندَ مُستوى إحتمال 5%, و أشارت النتائج. استعمال حامض الاسكوربك اظهر تحسنا معنويا في ارتفاع النبات ,الكلورفيل الكلي ,عدد الاثمار , الحاصل الكلي لنبات وفيتامين C . استعمال السماد العضوي seamino ادى الى زيادة معنوية في ارتفاع النبات ,الكلورفيل الكلي ,عدد الاثمار , الحاصل الكلي لنبات وفيتامين C. تداخل 2 غم/ لتر من حامض الاسكوربيك مع 3 مل/ لتر من السماد العضوي seamino ادى الى زيادة معنوية في ارتفاع النبات وحاصل الكلي للنبات. تداخل 2 غم/ لتر من حامض الاسكوربيك مع4 مل/ لتر من السماد العضوي seamino ادى الى زيادة معنوية في الكلورفيل الكلي وفيتامين C.

The effect of potassium fertilization on blotchy ripening in processing tomatoes (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) was investigated. Potassium treatments up to 624 and 590 kg ha−1 in 1983 and 1984 decreased the incidence of blotchy fruit. Differences in blotch susceptibility occurred among commercial cultivars. Potassium fertilization and cultivar are factors influencing pericarp color in processing tomatoes.Key words: Tomato, blotchy ripening, potassium
