This article concerns with the characteristics of the language of three British female Youtubers. It is aimed in particular to find out women's linguistic features in their language based on Lakoff's theory (1975) and the functions of each features according to Holme's theory (2013). The result of the study reveals  seven women's linguistic features  in the youtubers' language. They are (1) lexical hedges or fillers, (2) tag questions, (3) „empty‟ adjectives, (4) precise color terms, (5) intensifiers, (6) „superpolite‟ forms, and (7) emphatic stress. Among these features, the intensifiers. appears as the dominant one. The study also shows that each feature has specific function.

The present study aims to investigate female Disney characters’ linguistic features in the 1990’s. It studies sexist ideologies manifested through these characters’ language. The sample consists of three Disney animated movies from the 1990’s: Mulan, Beauty and the Beast and Pocahontas. The frameworks adopted to study female Disney characters’ language are Lakoff’s (2004b) forms of women’s language and Fairclough’s (1995) three-dimensional approach to CDA. The findings revealed that the linguistic features that mostly characterized female Disney characters’ language were hypercorrect grammar, super polite forms and hedges. They reflect the sexist stereotypicality of women’s language being slang-free and polite. They also used large stock of words related to their specific interests, empty adjectives and intensive ‘so’, which imply having stereotypical lexicon. The least linguistic feature used was tag questions. However, when used, they implied anticipation of being corrected by others. This essay seeks to dispel entrenched critical opinion regarding dance across Nietzsche's writings as representative of Dionysian intoxication alone. Taking as its prompt the riposte of Alain Badiou, ‘Nietzsche is miles away from any doctrine of dance as a primitive ecstasy’ and ‘dance is in no way the liberated bodily impulse, the wild energy of the body’, the essay uncovers the ties between dance and Apollo in the Nietzschean theory of art while qualifying dance's relation to Dionysus. Primarily through an analysis of The Dionysiac World View and The Birth of Tragedy, the essay seeks to illuminate enigmatic statements about dance in Nietzsche (‘in dance the greatest strength is only potential, although it is betrayed by the suppleness of movement’ and ‘dance is the preservation of orderly measure’). It does this through an elucidation of the specific function of dance in Nietzsche's interpretation of classical Greece; via an assessment of the difficulties associated with the Nietzschean understanding of the bacchanal; and lastly through an analysis of Nietzsche's characterization of dance as a symbol. The essay culminates in a discussion of dance's ties to Nietzschean life affirmation; here the themes of physico-phenomenal existence, joy and illusion in Nietzsche are surveyed.

This article is devoted to the problem dealing with the reproduction of communicative semantics while translating English, Chinese economic and political texts into Ukrainian. The content and structure of simultaneous translation were analysed. A contrastive analysis of the linguistic features of the English, Chinese and Ukrainian communicative semantics was made. Some tactics enabling the reproduction of the texts under research into the Ukrainian language within simultaneous translation were specified. The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the translation of terminology on the material of the English business discourse into Ukrainian and Chinese. The study represents the main approach to the definitions of such concepts as “business discourse” and “translation operation” in current language- and translational studies; the linguistic features of business discourse are analyzed; the translation operations applied at the lexical-semantic and structural component levels when translating English terms of business discourse into Ukrainian and Chinese are analyzed; the choice of translation operations when translating the terms of English discourse as a method of achieving an adequate translation.
