This article validates a proposed Customer Relationship Management conceptual framework for the Mauritian Hotel Industry based on identified critical success factors. The research provided insights on how different factors need to be considered to ensure a smooth implementation of a Customer Relationship Management strategy and to address the causes of Customer Relationship Management project failures. Extant reviews of the literature on Customer Relationship Management theoretical frameworks, Customer Relationship Management causes of failure, and critical success factors for Customer Relationship Management success were conducted and subsequently 33 items were identified. An exploratory factor analysis was done to validate the results of the survey followed by which a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to confirm the appropriateness of the proposed theoretical model, followed by a Structural Equation Model analysis conducted to validate the adequacy of the proposed model. The Structural Equation Model analysis confirmed the appropriateness of the proposed framework and confirmed the exactitude of each Customer Relationship Management success factor included in the framework. The design of the new proposed conceptual framework intends to provide a novel approach of in-depth knowledge on how to implement Customer Relationship Management in the Mauritian Hotel Industry and acts as a guideline for hotel managers to implement CRM successfully and to increase profitability.

The present study aimed to identify the Critical Success Factors of balanced scorecard at Jordanian Commercial Banks, as well as, reveal its effect on Financial Performance The study adapts the quantitative method to achieve their objectives. A randomaly sample of the employees of the higher and middle administrations (managers, deputies, their assistants and sector managers) at Jordanian Commercial Banks selected totaling (120) individuals. Exploratory Factor Analysis, Reliability, Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural equation Modelling was performed. The results indicate that the Top Management, Strategic intent, HR aspects and Systems and techniques are Critical Success Factors of balanced scorecard with reliable and valid. Inaddition, the Top Management, Strategic intent, HR aspects and Systems and techniques Success Factors positively effect on financial performance at Jordanian Commercial Banks.

Although building information modelling (BIM) has been implemented in building projects in Singapore, barriers such as the duplicate efforts for designers and contractors to create models appear to exist. Thus, BIM imple­mentation needs to be enhanced. The objectives are to identify the critical success factors (CSFs) for enhancing BIM implementation and investigate the interrelationships among these CSFs. 32 success factors were identified through a literature review and a questionnaire survey was conducted. The results indicated that 15 CSFs were identified and grouped into integration and accuracy of models (IAM), commitment and training from the management (CTM), and advantages and support of implementation (ASI) through factor analysis. The results from structural equation modelling (SEM) analysis revealed that CTM resulted in IAM and from ASI, while ASI facilitated IAM. The proposed framework indicating the CSFs and the intergroup relationships provides an in-depth understanding of BIM implementation and can help firms to commit on their part of project-wide BIM adoption and associated advantages. Overseas practitioners may use the identified success factors and follow the method to customise their own CSFs.

Owed to their enormous impact on the sustainable development of energy security, climate change, and the economy, multiple renewable-energy projects are carried out around the world, both in developed and in developing countries. Since the construction of renewable energy project is an entrepreneurial activity, there is a big concern about the success of such projects. Although pertinent literature suggests several methodologies to enhance the success of various projects, renewable-energy projects are still overlooked. This study identifies multiple critical success factors (CSFs), required for renewable-energy projects. Using a sample of 272 firms working on renewable energy projects in Pakistan, a quantitative and causal study was undertaken to identify the critical success factors (CSFs). Structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to test and verify hypothesis. The results show that there is a strong direct dependency of project success over the proposed factors, however environmental factors are found to be the only predominant CSFs which show the significant indirect effect over project success. The study expected to contribute towards and widen up the existing knowledge base for the project performance of renewable energy projects by adding on the findings regarding critical success factors.

Purpose Key performance indicators (KPIs) are in use to determine how and the extent to which the business objectives of an organization are achieved. This paper aims to evaluate the contribution of a research institute in terms of KPIs to support its process of decision-making towards, etc., innovation, sustainability and improvement. Design/methodology/approach In light of this, a systemic review was conducted on a set of relevant scholarly studies to identify the trends which shed light on the possible critical success factors to be effectively used in research institutes in association with the development of commercial agriculture. It examines whether, and if so how KPIs that are highly associated with those critical success factors are disruptive in research culture in an institute with certain organization design to promote research on innovative commercial agriculture. Findings The study highlighted some important aspects of commercial agriculture that showed strong links with possible critical success factors that could be used to develop a possible KPI set for a research institute. The salient features in a model performance management system with such KPIs of a research institute having strategical contribution for commercial agriculture are further elaborated. Originality/value This manuscript is a conceptual piece that advocates research institutes geared towards commercial agriculture development to begin using KPIs as part of research culture to evaluate their success. The paper suggests that commercial agriculture – perhaps, especially in developing countries – faces many challenges and using KPIs could help diagnose when and why essential processes break down. This study shows possible avenues of KPI use in research institutes that have not been very well discussed or discussed meagerly that have high potential to be integrated into successful KPIs towards innovative commercial agriculture.

To complete a construction project, it takes the cooperation and collaboration of stakeholder involved in construction projects to obtain optimum project performance. Problems that frequently occur in construction projects is the lack of cooperation, lack of trust, ineffective communication, lack of visualization of the planned buildings and different relationships between stakeholders that project performance is not optimal. To overcome these problems need to develop a model of collaboration between stakeholders in a construction project. The purpose of this research is to identify the critical success factors of the collaboration of design and build construction project team so that can understand the influence of collaboration model to collaboration performance with the geographic, professional, stakeholder, and ethnic cultural boundary spanners in design and build construction project in Indonesia. This research uses factor analysis and variable relation with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results found that geographical and ethical boundaries are influencing collaborative performance significantly.

Public–private partnership (PPP) has been widely applied in China and many developing countries in the recent decade. As new PPP projects gradually enter the operational phase, the issue of refinancing becomes increasingly important. PPP–ABS plays an indispensable role in PPP project refinancing. The factors that promote the success of the emerging PPP–ABS in the China financial market need to be determined. To accomplish two objectives, namely, to identify critical success factors (CSFs) and to explore the relationship between these factors and the success of the PPP asset-backed securitization (PPP–ABS) of this research, methods such as a questionnaire survey and structural equation modeling (SEM) were conducted successively. Four success factors, including underlying asset quality (UAQ), original equity holder credit (OEHC), rationality of security design (RoSD) and maturity of relative institutions (MoRI), were identified in this study. Consequently, nineteen theoretical hypotheses were developed and tested. It is shown in the SEM approach that UAQ and OEHC positively influence the success of PPP–ABS, alongside issuance characteristics (IC) that mediate the relationship between the success of PPP–ABS and UAQ, RoSD and MoRI, respectively. This finding increased knowledge of PPP–ABS and how investors and government can benefit from it.
