PENGGUNAAN MODEL MATEMATIK GAUSSIAN DISPERSION UNTUK PENDUGAAN PERUBAHAN KUALITAS UDARA DALAM ANALISIS DAMPAK LINGKUNGAN

Dalam analisis dampak lingkungan (ANDAL) memperkirakan perubahan kualitas lingkungan dapat dilakukan dengan sejumlah pendekatan, salah satunya adalah melalui pemodelan matematik. Guna pendugaan perubahan kualitas udara yang disebabkan oleh sumber emisi tetap berupa cerobong maka dapat digunakan persamaan sebaran Gauss (Gaussian dispersion). Persamaan dispersi Gauss diterapkan dengan memperlakukan cerobong sebagai sumber emisi berupa titik. Parameter persamaan dispersi Gauss menimbang faktor laju emisi cemaran dari cerobong, keadaan cuaca serta ketinggian efektif dari cerobong. Dengan persamaan tersebut pendugaan besar paparan cemaran udara di suatu tempat sebagai fungsi dari jarak terhadap cerobong dapat dilakukan. Dengan teknik perhitungan matematik menggunakan persamaan dispersi Gauss maka dapat dilakukan evaluasi perubahan indeks mutu lingkungan (environmental quality index) sehingga analisis risiko lingkungan emisi cemaran udara terkait perubahan kualitas udara memunginkan untuk dilakukan.

Based on the Environmental Quality Index reported by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, in 2017 the Environmental Quality Index rank of South Sumatra slipped to rank 20 nationally, wherein the previous year was ranked 16. Environmental performance was one of the factors in Environmental Quality Index. Most of the previous research on environmental performance and GHRM was carried out in the manufacturing industry analysis units, while other industrial fields have not been studied much including hospitals. In fact, the hospital is one of the business sectors that is quite related to the environment. This study aims to analyze the effect of GHRM which consists of the variables Green Recruitment and Selection (GRS), Green Training (GTR), and Green Compensation (GCO) partially or jointly on the performance of the hospital environment in Palembang City. The Grand Theory which is used in this research is Ecocentrism Theory and Triple Bottom Line. The population in this study were hospital employees at government hospitals in Palembang, totalling 2,270 people. By using the Slovin formula and the stratified proportional random sampling method, the number of samples who became respondents in this study was 248 people. This research is processed by multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed that GRS, GTR, and GCO partially had a significant effect on environmental performance in hospitals in Palembang City. The results also show that GRS, GTR, and GCO together also have a significant effect on environmental performance.

This article aims at measuring the sustainability of the streets of Khartoum using the Pedestrian Environmental Quality Index (P.E.Q.I.). This index has six categories: Intersection safety; traffic; street design; perceived safety; land use; and perceived walkability. Each category has several items. As a case study, Mohammed Najeeb main street is studied since it represents main streets in Khartoum. Results show that the sustainability standard of the studied street is below average (40%). Conclusions are written. And recommendations are drawn.

Sustainable economic growth is followed by an improvement in environmental quality. The purpose of this study is to identify the correlation between economic growth and population density on the environmental quality index (EQI) in Indonesia. In addition, it also aims to determine the impact of economic growth and population density on the environmental quality Index. This study uses a quantitative method with secondary data from 33 provinces in Indonesia from 2010 to 2016. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and panel data regression. The result showed that the correlation between economic growth and population density on the quality of the environment was moderate. It has a significant negative impact on environmental quality.

Ecological status of Malaysia is not as bad as many other developing nations in the world. However, despite the enforcement of the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) in 1974, the water quality of Malaysian inland water (especially rivers) is following deteriorating trend. The rivers are mainly polluted due to the point and non-point pollution sources. Point sources are monitored and controlled by the Department of Environment (DOE), whereas a significant amount of pollutants is contributed by untreated sullage and storm runoff. Nevertheless, it is not too late to take some bold steps for the effective control of non-point source pollution and untreated sullage discharge, which play significant roles on the status of the rivers. This paper reviews the existing procedures and guidelines related to protection of the river water quality in Malaysia.  There is a good possibility that the sewage and effluent discharge limits in the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) may pose hindrance against achieving good quality water in the rivers as required by the National Water Quality Standards (NWQS). For instance, Ammoniacal Nitrogen (NH3-N) is identified as one of the main pollutants to render many of the rivers polluted but it was not considered in the EQA as a monitoring parameter until the new regulations published in 2009.  Surprisingly, the new regulation for sewage and industrial effluent limits set allowable NH3-N concentration quite high (5 mg/L), which may result in low Water Quality Index (WQI) values for the river water. The water environment is a dynamic system. Periodical review of the monitoring requirements, detecting emerging pollutants in sewage, effluent and runoff, and proper revision of water quality standards are necessary for the management of sustainable water resources in the country. ABSTRAK: Satus ekologi Malaysia tidak seburuk kebanyakan negara membangun lain di dunia. Walaupun Akta Kualiti Alam Sekitar (EQA) dikuatkuasakan pada tahun 1974, kualiti air di pedalaman Malaysia (terutama sungai) semakin merosot. Kebanyakan sungai tercemar akibat pencemaran di punca sumber air dan pencemaran di bukan punca sumber air. Punca sumber air dipantau dan dikawal oleh Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS), tetapi sejumlah besar pencemaran adalah sisa yang tidak dirawat dan air larian ribut. Walau bagaimanapun, ia tidak terlambat untuk mengambil beberapa langkah berani untuk mengawal pencemaran di punca sumber air dan sisa tidak dirawat kerana langkah ini memainkan peranan penting bagi kebersihan sungai. Kertas kerja ini mengkaji prosedur dan garis panduan sedia ada berkaitan perlindungan kualiti air sungai di Malaysia. Ada kemungkinan bahawa had kumbahan dan pelepasan efluen dalam Akta Kualiti Alam Sekitar (EQA) boleh menimbulkan halangan terhadap mencapai kualiti air yang baik di dalam sungai seperti yang dikehendaki oleh Piawaian Kualiti Kebangsaan Air (NWQS). Sebagai contoh, Ammoniakal Nitrogen (NH3-N) dikenal pasti sebagai salah satu bahan pencemar utama yang menyebabkan banyak sungai tercemar tetapi ia tidak dianggap sebagai parameter pemantauan dalam EQA hingga peraturan baru diterbitkan pada tahun 2009. Yang menghairankan, peraturan baru menetapkan had efluen perindustrian dan kumbahan dibenarkan pada kepekatan NH3-N yang agak tinggi (5 mg / l), dan ini mungkin menyebabkan nilai Indeks Kualiti Air (WQI) sungai rendah. Persekitaran air adalah sistem dinamik. Menjalankan semakan berkala mengenai syarat pemantauan, mengesan bahan pencemaran di dalam kumbahan, efluen dan aliran, dan semakan piawaian kualiti air yang wajar adalah perlu bagi pengurusan sumber air lestari di negara ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui kualitas Jalan Pahlawan sebagai jalur pejalan kaki. Metodepenelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk mengetahui kualitas jalur pejalan kakidengan mempertimbangkan beberapa kriteria PEQI (Pedestrian Environmental Quality Index) untukdapat memberikan penilaian terhadap kualitas jalur pejalan kaki terhadap pilihan yang lebih luasterhadap pengguna dan aktivitas yang beragam bagi pejalan kaki di Jalan Pahlawan. Analisis yangdilakukan adalah analisis aktivitas pejalan kaki, analisis pengguna berdasarkan usia, jenis kelamin danpekerjaan, analisis kualitas penggal jalur pejalan kaki berdasarkan perhitungan PEQI, dan analisiskualitas jalur pejalan kaki berdasarkan karakteristik aktivitas dan penggunanya. Dewasa ini, koridorjalan digambarkan merupakan representasi gambaran nyata wajah suatu kota yang harus mampumengakomodasi semua bentuk mobilitas manusia, termasuk didalamnya kegiatan berjalan kaki.Sebagai salah satu jalur pejalan kaki yang terbaik di Kota Semarang saat ini, Jalan Pahlawan telahmenjadi tempat beraktivitas bagi masyarakat. Namun demikian jalur pejalan kaki belum memberikankualitas yang memadai bagi pejalan kaki. Jumlah arus pejalan kaki yang melintas sangat berbedaintensitasnya pada saat pagi dan malam hari, sehingga kualitas yang ada masih dipertanyakan untukmemenuhi kebutuhan aktivitas dan penggunanya.Kata kunci: kualitas, jalur pejalan kaki, PEQI
