Struktur data adalah untuk mengoorganisasikan data sedemikian rupasehingga implementasi(penerapan) atau pemeliharaan logika program menjadilebih terstruktur. Bahasa program turbo pascal yaitu kumpulan instruksi atau perintah yangdisusun dengan mempunyai urutan logika yang tepat untuk menyelesaikansuatu persoalan. Algoritma merupakan jantung semua program yang merupakan urutanlangkah sistematis dan dirancang untuk menyelesaikan suatu masalah spesifikdengan usaha yang paling minimal.Karakteristik algoritma:Input, Output,Definite (jelas), Efective, Terminate (berakhir). Langkah-langkah pembuatan program:1. Mendefinisikan permasalahan2. Membuat rumusan untuk pemecahan masalah1. Dapat disusun dalam bentuk psevdvcode maupun flowchart.2. Implementasi coding3. Melibatkan bahasa pemograman4. Testing (menguji coba) dan membuat dokumentasi5. Tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah telah tepat memberi solusi daripermasalahan yang sebelumnya muncul. Jenis-jenis type data:1. Type sederhana (simple type)a. type ordinal (untuk semua bilangan,kecuali bilangan ril)b. type real (untuk bilangan desimal) -6byte2. Type string (data yang berisi tentang sederetan ‘INFORMASI’)3. Type terstruktur (structured type) untuk ukuran tempat :larik (array), rekaman(record), himpunan (set), berkas (file)4. Type pointer Contoh type ARRAY : VAR nilai: ARRAY [1..maks_mhs] of char Contoh type RECORD :TYPE rec_mhs=recordNim:string (10);Nama :string(20);Jur :string(15)End;

International audience In this article we study a class of monoids that includes Garside monoids, and give a simple combinatorial proof of a formula for the formal sum of all elements of the monoid. This leads to a formula for the growth function of the monoid in the homogeneous case, and can also be lifted to a resolution of the monoid algebra. These results are then applied to known monoids related to Coxeter systems: we give the growth function of the Artin-Tits monoids, and do the same for the dual braid monoids. In this last case we show that the monoid algebras of the dual braid monoids of type A and B are Koszul algebras.

Background Pitfall traps are commonly used to assess ground dwelling arthropod communities. The effects of different pitfall trap designs on the trapping outcome are poorly investigated however they might affect conclusions drawn from pitfall trap data greatly. Methods We tested four pitfall trap types which have been used in previous studies for their effectiveness: a simple type, a faster exchangeable type with an extended plastic rim plate and two types with guidance barriers (V- and X-shaped). About 20 traps were active for 10 weeks and emptied biweekly resulting in 100 trap samples. Results Pitfall traps with guidance barriers were up to five times more effective than simple pitfall traps and trap samples resulted in more similar assemblage approximations. Pitfall traps with extended plastic rim plates did not only perform poorly but also resulted in distinct carabid assemblages with less individuals of small species and a larger variation. Discussion Due to the obvious trait filtering and resulting altered assemblages, we suggest not to use pitfall traps with extended plastic rim plates. In comprehensive biodiversity inventories, a smaller number of pitfall traps with guidance barriers and a larger number of spatial replicates is of advantage, while due to comparability reasons, the use of simple pitfall traps will be recommended in most other cases.

Background: Fractures of the distal part of the femur are difficult to treat and present considerable challenges in management. If fractures of the hip are excluded, 31% of femoral fractures involve the distal portion. The incidence of the fractures is highest in women older than 75 years and in adolescent boys and men of 15 to 24 years of age. Aim: The aim of our study is to compare the results of different modes of internal fixation of different type of distal femur fractures by Distal Femoral Nail & Distal Femoral Locked Plate. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted in the department of orthopedics, R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital; 1,K.B. Sarani, Kolkata – 700004. The main source of patients was those adults presenting with distal femoral fractures attending either emergency or outdoor & also patients referred from peripheral hospitals. Distal femoral fractures of AO/OTA type A fractures (i.e. extra-articular supracondylar) & AO/OTA type C1 & C2 fractures (i.e. articular simple, metaphyseal simple type & articular simple & metaphyseal multifragmentary type respectively). Results: Our study showed that the mean hospital stay for patients treated in two different groups included the day of admission of the patient to day of discharge. Day of injury might be the same as day of admission or somewhat before that. Average intra-operative blood loss and operating time for DFN were significantly low compared to the DFLP group. Conclusion: Distal Femoral Locking Plate can be used in type A and type C fractures and also in patients in older age group with significantly higher satisfactory outcome maintaining somewhat a balance between stability and rigidity of its fixation.

To find the angiographic lesions specific characteristics appropriate for intracranial percutaneous transluminal cerebral angioplasty (PTCBA). Forty-two clinically symptomatic patients with 42 haemodynamically significant intracranial lesions (% diameter stenosis >70) were treated by PTCBA between January 1992 and May 1996. Before the angioplasty treatment, the patients were classified into three groups according to the angiographic lesions' characteristics summarised as follows: type A, a short and concentric stenosis; type B, a tubular lesion, or an extreme eccentric lesion; and type C, a diffuse lesion. They were followed after PTCBA from one month to six years to compare between the three groups. Primary end points were death, stroke, or bypass surgery. The clinical success rates in type A, B and C groups were 92%, 86% and 33% (p=0.0032), respectively. Cumulative risks of fatal or nonfatal ischaemic stroke / ipsilateral bypass surgery in type A, B and C groups were 8%, 26% and 87% (p<0.0001), respectively. The cumulative risk of 8% in type A group patients appeared to be smaller than in historical studies. PTCBA for intracranial simple (type A) lesions produces a favourable clinical outcome for symptomatic patients.

Yumoto and Dmochowski (Cancer Res.27, 2098 (1967)) reported the presence of mature and immature type C leukemia virus particles in leukemic organs and tissues such as lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, liver, and kidneys of SJL/J strain mice with Hodgki's-like disease or reticulum cell neoplasm (type B). In an attempt to ascertain the possibility that this neoplasia may be of viral origin, experiments with induction and transmission of this neoplasm were carried out using cell-free extracts of leukemic organs from an SJL/J strain mouse with spontaneous disease.It has been possible to induce the disease in low-leukemia BALB/c and C3HZB strain mice and serially transfer the neoplasia by cell-free extracts of leukemic organs of these mice. Histological examination revealed the neoplasia to be of either reticulum cell-type A or type B. Serial transfer is now in its fifth passage. In addition leukemic spleen from another SJL/J strain mouse with spontaneous reticulum cell neoplasm (type A) was set up in tissue culture and is now in its 141st serial passage in vitro. Preliminary results indicate that cell-free material of 39th tissue culture passage can reproduce neoplasia in BALB/c mice.
