INDALLOY 217-440
Keyword(s):
Abstract INDALLOY 217-440 is a bismuth-base alloy that can be melted easily. It is a non-eutectic alloy that melts through a temperature range of 217-440 F. Its low melting temperature and controlled-shrinkage characteristics make it a valuable tool of industry for such applications as anchoring non-moving parts in machinery, filling blow holes in castings, split jaw chucks and anchoring hold-down bolts in concrete floors. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on casting, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Bi-22. Producer or source: Indium Corporation of America.
