BISMUTH-45Pb
Abstract Bismuth-45Pb is a bismuth-base eutectic alloy that metals at 255 F. This alloy provides scientists and engineers with an easily castable material that is ready for use as soon as it freezes. It can be recovered readily and recycled into new uses any number of times. Its many uses include non-shrinking patterns, proof-casting, sealing heat-treating furnaces and bending large tubes (diameter greater than 13/4 inches). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on casting, forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Bi-39. Producer or source: Producers of low-melting alloys.
