Abstract FERRO-TIC CN-5 is comprised of ultrahard tungsten carbide micrograins cemented by an age-hardenable copper-nickel alloy matrix. It is particularly suited to resist sea water corrosion. Its structure provides a wear resistance that is unattainable in other alloys with similar corrosion resistance. Its maximum operating temperature is 850 F.
