COPPER ALLOY No. C68800
Abstract Copper Alloy No. C68800 is a wrought copper-base alloy (modified brass) containing nominally 22.7% zinc, 3.4% aluminum and 0.40% cobalt. It has high strength and fairly good ductility. It can be hardened and strengthened further by heating temper-rolled material to 425 F where an ordering reaction occurs. Typical uses include springs, contacts, terminals and plug receptacles. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-529. Producer or source: Copper and copper alloy mills.
