Abstract METGLAS MBF-65A is a brazing foil in ductile, flexible metallic-glass form (A similar grade, MBF-65 is identical except that it has larger dimensional tolerances). The chromium content (nominally 14%) provides superior resistance to corrosion and oxidation. This alloy is recommended for inert or vacuum furnace brazing to provide high-temperature-service joints especially for components of thin cross section. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, and hardness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-306. Producer or source: Allied Corporation.
