Abstract CMSX-11B is a non-rhenium containing single-crystal (SX) superalloy defined primarily for industrial turbine applications. The material develops a unique and extremely good blend of hot corrosion and oxidation resistance. It exhibits extremely good castability, employs relatively simple solution heat treatments, and provides creep strength that is as good or better than other first generation SX materials such as CMSX-2 (Alloy Digest Ni-417, November 1992), CMSX-3 (Alloy Digest Ni-420, January 1993), CMSX-4 (Alloy Digest Ni-447, March 1994), CMSX-6 (Alloy Digest Ni-418, December 1992), PWA 1480, and Rene N4. This datasheet provides information on composition and physical properties as well as creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting and heat treating. Filing Code: Ni-537. Producer or source: Cannon-Muskegon Corporation.

Two different, non-Re containing single crystal (SX) superalloys are defined primarily for industrial turbine application. The alloys, CMSX®-11B and CMSX-®-11C, contain respective chromium levels of about 12.5% and 14.5%. Both materials develop unique and extremely good blends of hot corrosion and oxidation resistance. They exhibit extremely good testability, employ relatively simple solution heat treatments and provide creep strength which is as good or better in comparison to other first generation SX materials such as CMSX-2/3, PWA 1480 and René N4. Moreover, at certain engine-pertinent temperature/stress conditions, and particularly in long-term tests (greater than 1,000 hours duration), the alloys appear to exhibit density corrected rupture strengths which are similar or better than CMSX-4® and other second generation SX casting superalloys.

Abstract Armco 321 is an austenitic nickel-stainless-steel with the carbon stabilized by titanium for welding and elevated temperature service. It is useful when the weldment is not annealed after welding. This alloy is nonmagnetic when annealed but is slightly magnetic when cold worked. It has excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation, possesses high creep strength, and may be used at temperatures up to 871 C (1600 F). Titanium is added to this alloy to impart substantial immunity to intergranular corrosion. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-810. Producer or source: AK Steel Inc.
