Abstract CARPENTER STAINLESS TYPE 443 is a heat-resisting chromium steel which stands up very well under destructive scaling conditions up to 1600 F (871 C). It is not subject to intergranular corrosion as a result of hot working, welding or continuous operation at elevated temperatures.
