Synthesis of hardly available 2-alkylsemicarbazides and their hydrochlorides from semicarbazide hydrochloride has been developed. This general and efficient protocol is based on preparation of acetone semicarbazone, its N2-alkylation in the presence of sodium hydride, and hydrolysis under mild conditions.

A green and efficient route for the synthesis of trisubstituted hydroxylamines from β-keto ester, 2-nitrosopyridine and aryldiazoacetates has been reported. This multicomponent reaction occurred under mild conditions without catalysts or additives.

The rare example of pyrrolidine C–N bond cleavage in 1-sulfonylpyrrolidines in acidic media in the presence of phenols is reported. The reaction proceeds under mild conditions and provides a convenient route to otherwise hardly accessible and previously unknown dibenzoxanthenes, diarylbutanes, and resorcinarenes having a sulfonylamide moiety.

The intramolecular Mitsunobu reaction has been employed for the practical synthesis of a wide variety of heteraphanes. This strategy enabled the efficient synthesis of a diverse range of macrocycles with varying ring sizes under mild conditions.

AbstractCu(II) heterogenized on sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (Na-CMC) has been thoroughly characterized by different techniques. Cu(II)-CMC has been applied for the first time in the homocoupling reaction of a variety of terminal alkynes. The catalyst furnished good to excellent yields of the desired products and could be reused six times without loss of catalytic activity. The Cu(II)-CMC catalysis protocol is a new efficient route to synthesize 1,3-diynes under mild conditions.

A facile and efficient route is developed to prepare (PDA–PEI)/titania hybrid microcapsules by in situ generation of an inorganic layer on an adhesive layer with mineralization-inducing capability under mild conditions.
