Hollow sphere structures (HSS) constitute a group of innovative materials which are characterised by more constant material properties compared to classical cellular metals [1]. Their big potential lies within multifunctional applications where combinations of their proper- ties yield symbiotic advantages. In the scope of this paper their effective thermal conductivity is investigated. In addition to the analysis of the dependency of this material parameter on the conductivities of the base materials and the sphere wall thickness, special focus is given to the influence of the morphology of joining.

In order to accurately master the material heat transfer properties of the cement clinker, the theory of fluid flowing and heat transfer in straight pipe was applied to the cement clinker accumulation body porous medium in this paper. The equivalent relation of the relatively mature theory of fluid flowing and heat transfer in straight pipe and that in porous medium was established by building the peer-to-peer relationship of the important parameters in the straight pipe and the cement clinker accumulation body. This paper obtained a simple evaluation method of the material heat transfer properties of cement clinker which has more engineering application value.
