Construction safety is a key factor among the many factors related to the sustainable management of construction sites. Although research is underway to reduce potential accidents in the construction industry in Korea, the number of tower crane (T/C) accidents is consistently increasing based on the increased use of such cranes. In this study, the priorities of accident causes for each T/C type were derived and utilized for the sustainable management of construction sites. An analytic hierarchy process (AHP) questionnaire was completed by experts such as construction engineers, construction managers, safety engineers, and T/C operators with more than ten years of field experience. The results of the AHP questionnaire revealed that the leading cause of cab-control T/C accidents is poor operator visibility, while the leading cause of accidents related to remote-control T/Cs is the poor management of lifting objects and control of surroundings. The high-ranking causes derived in this study should be managed and priority measures should be implemented to reduce the number of T/C accidents.

As an effective way of enterprises financing, supply chain finance has attracted much attention in recent years. However, since supply chain finance has some problems like long financing period, numerous stakeholders and complex effects, banks are at a higher risk carrying out this kind of service. The purpose of this paper is to explore the key factors in supply chain finance risk assessment and study the effective mode of risk elevation. Based on the existing literature and research, this paper uses Z-score to standardize the financial index of 344 medium-sized enterprises in automotive industry chain from October, 2016 to October, 2017 and build a model of supply chain risk assessment and control basing on analytic hierarchy process, principal components analysis and logistic regression analysis. Finally, we summarize how each index affects risk assessment and then analyze the reasons.

System development outsourcing has become the important practices in many organizations which involve third parties contribution on IT implementation as well as software development. The reasons of the demanding in outsourcing implementation are because it reduces operation and development budget for Information Technology Department and improves service quality and operational efficiency. Although it comes with benefits to the organization, but there are risks that associated with it. The objectives of this study are:  1) to identify main risks in outsource software development, 2) to assess the outsourcing risks and 3) to test the risks related to supplier using AHP technique. A survey was conducted in Malaysia to identify main risks in software outsourcing and to access the risk’s level and severity. Then, the risks were analysed using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique to evaluate the performance of the suppliers in outsourcing data collected in the organisation. In this study, the testing and evaluating method were carried out with the officers in The Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority or RISDA in Malaysia because this organization has experience in software developemt outsource for more than 15 years. They are considered as well experience and good knowledge in this area. Findings from this study suggest to the related organization the main risks identified during software development and risk analysis is used to manage risk effectively according to its severity and priority. One way to manage and control risk is by identifying risks associated with suppliers using multi criteria selection method.

BIM is urgently needed by Chinas building industry to meet its opportunities and challenges. However, compared with developed countries, the progress of BIM development in adoption and identify key barriers which strongly impact the BIM adoption so as to propose corresponding measures to remove the key barriers. A survey about barriers impact was carried out among Chinese construction practitioners. By using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process),41 barriers of BIM in Building Industry of china were identified. In the last part of the thesis, a roadmap of BIM adoption and application in china was developed based upon the measures and characteristics of barriers of the BIM adoption in China.

Due to the high risk of construction sites, it is necessary to make safety risk evaluation. With the synthetic consideration of the complexity and uncertainty of construction sites, a comprehensive evaluation index system with two levels has been based on the emphases and difficulties of the current safety work in construction industry; the index system includes civilized construction site, management of machinery, equipment, materials, occupation health protection, and the subpackage management, such as 6 one-level evaluation indexes, inspection system of safety risk, safety awareness education, and prevention and control of occupation disease, such as 33 two-level evaluation indexes. The research takes “No. A residential building and other 8 projects” as the empirical analysis object, with the weights of the first indexes and second indexes being calculated by the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the information entropy, and applies the unascertained measure to comprehensively evaluate the safety risk of the construction project. The overall score of the project is 6.4475, the evaluation result is good, which is consistent with the actual situation, and the feasibility and effectiveness of the evaluation index system and evaluation model are verified, which provides a reference for safety risk management in the construction stage of construction projects.
