Linguistic neutrosophic numbers (LNNs) are a powerful tool for describing fuzzy information with three independent linguistic variables (LVs), which express the degrees of truth, uncertainty, and falsity, respectively. However, existing LNNs cannot depict the hesitancy of the decision-maker (DM). To solve this issue, this paper first defines a hesitant linguistic neutrosophic number (HLNN), which consists of a few LNNs regarding an evaluated object due to DMs’ hesitancy to represent their hesitant and uncertain information in the decision-making process. Then, based on the least common multiple cardinality (LCMC), we present generalized distance and similarity measures of HLNNs, and then develop a similarity measure-based multiple-attribute decision-making (MADM) method to handle the MADM problem in the HLNN setting. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed approach is verified by an investment decision case.

The TODIM is a decision-making method that can examine the psychological behavior of decision-makers (DMs). However, the traditional TODIM method has still not been having the ability to overcome fuzzy information such as interval values and linguistic variables. This paper proposes an extended TODIM decision-making model for multiple-attribute decision-making (MADM) problems in a linguistic environment using dual-connection numbers (DCNs). The extended model uses linguistic variables in which the values of alternatives and criteria for both of them are formatted in the triangular fuzzy numbers (TFNs) to express the uncertain information. First, some definitions and basic operators of the TFNs and DCNs are introduced. Then, the way how to convert fuzzy information in forms of the TFNs into DCNs and the step how to transform each criterion weight value into a crisp value using the defuzzification of Minkowski are demonstrated. Furthermore, the traditional TODIM is improved to address MADM problems with DCNs, and detailed calculation steps in determining decisions are explained. Finally, an illustrative example which is a cadre selection problem is applied to demonstrate the conformity and validity of the extended TODIM method and to compare it with some other methods.

Some hybrid aggregation operators have been developed based on linguistic hesitant intuitionistic fuzzy information. The generalized linguistic hesitant intuitionistic fuzzy hybrid weighted averaging (GLHIFHWA) operator and the generalized linguistic hesitant intuitionistic fuzzy hybrid geometric mean (GLHIFHGM) operator are defined. Some special cases of the new aggregation operators are studied and many existing aggregation operators are special cases of the new operators. A new multiple attribute decision making method based on the new aggregation operators is proposed and a practical numerical example is presented to illustrate the feasibility and practical advantages of the new method.

In this paper, we investigate the multiple attribute decision making problems about risk evaluation for risk investment projects with triangular intuitionistic fuzzy information. Then, we proposed the triangular intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein weighted geometric (TIFEWG) operator, triangular intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein ordered weighted geometric (TIFEOWG) operator and triangular intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein hybrid geometric (TIFEHG) operator and we develop an approach to multiple attribute decision making with triangular intuitionistic fuzzy information. Finally, an illustrative example for evaluating the risk of the risk investment projects with triangular intuitionistic fuzzy information is given to verify the developed approach.
