Desalinated seawater enters the urban water supply network on a large scale, which brings new challenges to water quality assurance. In order to strengthen the safety supervision of the pipeline network, ensure the stability of water quality, prevent pipeline corrosion, and avoid the “red water” problem, this study constructed a safety supervision system for desalinated seawater entering the urban water supply pipeline network. In this system, the on-line monitoring system can monitor water quality, water quantity, water pressure and the corrosion of pipeline network in real-time. Early warning system can quickly identify problems and initiate based on the threshold exceeding, statistical analysis, and model prediction. The safety regulation system (including water source regulation system, water quality adjustment system and operation management system) is used to regulate and control water quality problems in the urban water supply network. The application of this safety supervision system is conducive to improving regulation efficiency and ensuring water supply safety.

Currently, data communications used in the monitoring and scheduling system of urban water supply network can be simply divided into wireless and wired. While the wireless data communications with network flexibility, less investment, easy maintenance, cost-effective advantages. Therefore, the wireless data communications has become a major data transmission in urban water supply scheduling. The wireless transmission of state parameters in urban water supply pipe network was studied in this paper. This paper presents a wireless monitoring and scheduling scheme based on the short message transmission technology in urban water supply network. It introduced the hardware components of the system, and wireless data transmission software.

Nowadays, the demand of people for urban water supply security is increasing. Meanwhile, the scale of water supply system is expanding and the topology is being more and more complicated. Aiming at these problems above, the technology of simulation modling and software development for urban water supply network is researched in this article. First of all, through studying the parameter testing technique, the load and change law of water consumption, the pressure distribution law, and the actual conveyance capacity of main pipes of the whole water supply network are accurately mastered. Correspondingly, the simulation database is built. On this basis, aiming at scientific operation and water quality protection, taking opening territorial water supply network of one city for example, the microscopic hydraulic model of water supply network of this area is built, meanwhile, the simulation analysis platform is developed, with the application of on-line monitoring technology. The platform which has well expansibility and utility has been applied to water supply network of an urban city.
