Genetic relationship of orchids in the Calanthe group based on sequence-related amplified polymorphism markers and development of sequence-characterized amplified regions markers for some genus/species identification

Molecular typing ofStaphylococcus aureusbased on PCR-RFLP ofcoagene and RAPD analysisThe aim of this study was molecular identification ofS. aureusstrains isolated from mastitic milk samples and establishing the genetic relationship between strains isolated from cows belonging to the same herd. In all 43 isolated strains thegapgene (930 bp) was amplified, which enabled their affiliation to theStaphylococcusgenus to be established. PCR-RFLP withAluI endonuclease of thegapgene as well asnuc(450 bp) andcoa(1130 bp) gene amplification allowed preciseS. aureusspecies identification. One hundred percent of the genetic relationship between strains was establishedviaRAPD-PCR and coa-typing.

The comparative Altaic phonology recently published by Professor Poppe is the third post-war attempt to give body to the theory of the genetic relationship of Altaic languages. In the recent spectacular renascence of Altaic studies two similar works have been published: one by Kotwicz, the other by Ramstedt. It is interesting to note that these surveys were published at a time when the genetic relationship of the Altaic language had already been tacitly admitted for about a century.
