scholarly journals Web based Application for Resource Management with Report Generation

Web-based resource management in an enterprise is important because it automates complicated and time-consuming activities directly related to human resource management. Not only does it make the job quicker and simpler for the Human Resource (HR) division but it also eliminates unnecessary manual work and offers an effective way to handle an individual in an organization. This paper is based on a computerized system with advancements primarily related with human resource management to develop a web application deployed over the internet on application server that provides authorized users with access to all information. This framework allows one to use report generation to handle the data with more visualization that ultimately helps in decision making. The system provides various functions such as recruiting employees, managing the payroll, approving leave and measuring biometric hours. It can be classified mainly as Administration Employee Management System (EMS), Timesheet management system (TMS), Leave management system (LMS) and Project management system (PMS). With technology upgrading and the way things are done, the entire organisation's management has become more complex. All organizations opt for a software solution like the proposed system to manage all such key resources, performance, and to assure data privacy and security.

Human Resource Management System (HRMS) is a system that can simplify the process of handling various human resource management activities in a company in a structured and comprehensive manner. HRMS can assist management in carrying out their duties and assist companies in achieving goals and minimizing the risk of loss due to errors in managing employee data, especially in terms of payroll. The number of components in managing employees in a company will make the management in carrying out their duties a little more complicated and complex. So it is necessary to have a system that can manage all components of employee management in one centralized system. In this study, a web-based HRMS has been designed that can be used by employee management and also the employees themselves. From the results of the study, it is known that the implementation of HRMS at the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) of Lingga Regency can assist employee management in managing all employee data including data collection, planning, management, and directing activities effectively and efficiently and can minimize the human error factor.

As business activities are becoming increasing globally and as numerous firms expand their operations into overseas markets, there is need for human resource management (HRM) to ensure that they hire and keep good employees. From ages, firms/organizations have been having great problems in getting the right professionals into appropriate jobs and training. This research focuses at exploiting information technology in order to overcome these problems. The system, which is a network of inter–related processes, collects data from applicants through a web-based interface and matches with appropriate jobs. This prevents the frustration and some other problems inherent in the manual method of job recruitment, which is the traditional unstructured interview and knowledge based method for matching applicants to jobs. The proposed system is a neural network web-based human resource management system model running on Internet Information (IIS) server with capabilities for Active Server Page (ASP) and Microsoft Access; while Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) are used for authoring web pages. Finally, the system can run on the minimum Pentium machines with Windows XP operating system
