Mealybugs (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Pseudococcidae) include economically important insect pests worldwide. However, little is known about mealybug species in Indonesia. Scale insects were collected and identified from natural and cultivated plants in several regions of southern Sumatra, Indonesia between 2018 and 2019. In total, 16 species of Pseudococcidae in 7 genera were found, including two new species and three new records for the Indonesian mealybug fauna. Dysmicoccus sosromarsonae Zarkani & Kaydan sp. n., and Dysmicoccus zeynepae Zarkani & Kaydan sp. n. are described and illustrated as new species for science-based on the adult female. Furthermore, Dysmicoccus arachidis Williams and Dysmicoccus carens Williams and Pseudococcus leptotrichotus Williams were found as new records for the country. New locality and host plant data are given for all species. Additionally, an identification key to mealybug genera occurring in Indonesia is also provided.

In this study, two new species of soft scale (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Coccidae) associated with rosemary, Rosmarinus officinalis L. (Lamiaceae) from Colombia, Cryptinglisia corpoica Kondo & Montes sp. nov. and Cryptinglisia ica Montes & Kondo sp. nov. are described and illustrated based on the adult female. Two other coccid species, namely Parasaissetia nigra (Nietner) and Saissetia coffeae (Walker), are newly recorded on rosemary. An identification key is presented to all species of soft scale that have been reported on Rosmarinus spp. An updated key to soft scale insects of the genus Cryptinglisia Cockerell is provided also.

Two new species of Brasineura are described from Brazil based on male specimens: Brasineura calori sp. n. (Bahia: Brazil) and Brasineura morrense sp. n. (Bahia: Brazil). They differ from the other species in the genus, in which the males are known, by hypandrium and phallosome structures. New records and comments on variation in the fore- and hind- wing venation of B. troglophilica Silva-Neto & García Aldrete and B. diamantina Silva-Neto & García Aldrete are presented. The identification key to male Brasineura species is updated.

An identification key is provided to the 40 genera worldwide that comprise the Anaphothrips genus-group of Thripinae. Oxythrips japonicus sp.n. and Rubiothrips galii sp.n. are described from Japan, and the members of Anaphothrips genus-group from Japan are reviewed, with 15 species in eight genera. Anaphothrips swezeyi Moulton, Caprithrips insularis Beshear and C. melanophthalmus (Bagnall) are newly recorded from Japan.

This paper presents a new genus, two new species, and several new records of mites associated with insects and soil in Cuba. A new monotypic genus of Laelapidae, Acantholaelaps gen. nov., is described to accommodate a new species, A. strategus sp. nov., on the basis of adult female and male specimens collected on Strategus sarpedon (Burmeister) (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) and Strategus surinamensis hirtus Sternberg (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae). The other species recorded were Macrocheles merdarius (Berlese) (Macrochelidae), Asca quinquesetosa Wharton (Ascidae), Gaeolaelaps cubaensis sp. nov. (Laelapidae) and Pseudoparasitus missouriensis (Ewing) (Laelapidae).

Two new species, Aquilegia xinjiangensis and A. hebeica from northern China, are here described and illustrated. Additionally four species, A. amurensis, A. flabellata, A. kamelinii and A. vicaria are recorded for the country for the first time. The identification key and diagnostic characters of all Aquilegia representatives from China including the newly described and recorded species are provided and discussed.

Two new species of Campoletis Förster (Ichneumonidae: Campopleginae) are described: Campoletis katalinarum sp. nov. from Georgia and Turkey, and Campoletis margaritae sp. nov. from Romania and Armenia. Affixes to the identification key of the most recent revision of the genus are given. Additionally, contributing to the knowledge on biogeographical distribution of several species of the genus, 27 new records of 14 Campoletis species are reported, representing first records for 12 countries in the Palaearctic region.

Two new species of the Neotropical genus Leinendera Carrera, 1945, Leinendera carrerai sp. n. and Leinendera mnrj sp. n., and the female of Leinendera achaeta Camargo, Vieira, Köhler & Rafael, 2016 are described from Brazil. The habitus, wing, male terminalia and female terminalia for the latter species are described and illustrated. The female terminalia of Leinendera rubra Carrera, 1945 is also illustrated. An identification key for the five Leinendera species and a distribution map with new records are provided.

This study aimed to determine the species of mealybugs (Pseudococcidae and Putoidae) found in five provinces (Ağrı, Bitlis, Hakkari, Iğdır and Van) in Eastern Anatolia, (Turkey). Species of the families Pseudococcidae and Putoidae were collected from natural and cultivated plants between 2005 and 2008. New locality and host plant data are given for all species. In total, 60 species of Pseudococcidae in 16 genera and two species of the genus Puto Signoret, 1875 were found, including 25 new species records for the Turkish fauna, namely: Atrococcus arakelianae (Ter-Grigorian, 1964,), A. cracens Williams, 1962, Coccura circumscripta (Kiritchenko, 1963), Dysmicoccus brevipes (Cockerell), Fonscolombia europaea (Newstead, 1897), Heliococcus glacialis (Newstead, 1900), Metadenopus festucaeŠulc, 1931, Mirococcopsis ammophila Bazarov & Nurmamatov, 1975, M. avetianae Ter-Grigorian, 1964, M. subalpina (Danzig, 1985), M. teberdae (Danzig, 1985), Phenacoccus angustatus Borchsenius, 1949, P. eurotiae Danzig, 1975, P. incertus (Kiritshenko, 1940), P. kokandicus Nurmamatov, 1986, P. persimplex Borchsenius, 1949, P. querculus (Borchsenius, 1949), P. prope schmelevi Bazarov, 1980, P. strigosus Borchsenius, 1949, Pseudococcus comstocki (Kuwana, 1902), Puto megriensis (Borchsenius, 1948), Ripersiella parva (Danzig, 1985), R. petiti (Goux, 1941), R. poltavae (Laing, 1929) and Spilococcus vashlovanicus Danzig, 1998. Two new armoured scale insects in the genus Aulacaspis (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Diaspididae) are described and illustrated from Guizhou Province, China. Aulacaspis paralonganae sp. n. was collected from the host-plant Schima superba (Theaceae) and A. guiyangensis sp. n. was collected from Cinnamomum camphora (Lauraceae). Aulacaspis longanae Chen, Wu & Su 1980 is redescribed and a new host-plant record is reported. The type specimens of the two new species and material of A. longanae are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China. An identification key based on adult females is provided to separate Chinese species of Aulacaspis.

Sipunculans are a poorly studied group in the Tropical Eastern Pacific. For the Southern Mexican Pacific (SMP) there is only one record of a sipunculan species. The main objective of this work was to determine the species composition of the phylum Sipuncula present in the SMP. The study area covered three Mexican states: Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas; specimens from 28 localities were examined from both intertidal and subtidal zones. A total of 551 specimens were reviewed, from which 11 species were identified. Five of them have previously been recorded in the Tropical Eastern Pacific (TEP): Apionsoma (A.) hespera comb. nov., A. (Edmondsius) pectinatum, Aspidosiphon (A.) elegans, Phascolosoma (P.) puntarenae and Themiste (T.) hennahi; four species are similar to nominal species: Sipunculus (S.) cf. polymyotus, Siphonosoma cf. vastum, Siphonosoma cf. cumanense and Phascolosoma (P.) cf. perlucens; and two new species are described: Aspidosiphon (Paraspidosiphon) cutleri sp. nov. and Aspidosiphon (Paraspidosiphon) pastori sp. nov. A checklist and an identification key for all sipunculan species from the TEP are presented. The checklist includes 53 taxa, 25 of which are questionable records. This work generated 11 new records of sipunculans in the SMP and five new records in the TEP.
