A large collection of millipedes (Diplopoda) from Madagascar, belonging to the Museum “La Specola” in Florence, Italy were investigated. The collection includes three new species of the giant pill-millipede genus Zoosphaerium Pocock, 1895 which are described here as Zoosphaerium mangabe Wesener, sp. nov., Z. bartolozzii Anilkumar & Wesener, sp. nov., and Z. taitii Anilkumar & Wesener, sp. nov., all belonging to the Z. coquerelianum species group. The latter two are currently only known from a single site. Other specimens belonging to eight orders (Polyxenida, Sphaerotheriida, Polyzoniida, Siphonophorida, Chordeumatida, Polydesmida, Spirobolida, and Spirostreptida) are listed. Three tropical tramp species, Pseudospirobolellus avernus (Butler, 1876), Glyphiulus granulatus Gervais, 1847, and Chondromorpha xanthotricha (Attems, 1898) are recorded for the first time from Madagascar. New locality data is provided for Zoosphaerium neptunus (Butler, 1872), Z. villosum Wesener & Sierwald, 2005, Z. blandum (de Saussure & Zehntner, 1897), Sphaeromimus musicus (de Saussure & Zehntner, 1897), Rhinotus purpureus (Pocock, 1894), Hylekobolus andasibensis Wesener, 2009, Aphistogoniulus infernalis Wesener, 2009, Ostinobolus rufus Wesener, 2009, Ostinobolus subterraneus Wesener, 2009, Dactylobolus bivirgatus (Karsch, 1881), and Eumekius antimena (de Saussure & Zehntner, 1901).

The Ellimenistes humeralis Marshall, 1947 species group is defined. Ellimenistes humeralis is redescribed, three new species belonging to this species group are described, illustrated and keyed: E. janaki Borovec & Nakládal, sp. nov., E. marshalli Borovec & Nakládal, sp. nov. and E. raucus Borovec & Nakládal, sp. nov., all from South Africa, Eastern Cape. A lectotype of Ellimenistes humeralis Marshall, 1947 is designated. The diagnosis of the genus Ellimenistes is completed with illustrations of the female genitalia provided for the first time.

New and Formerly Unknown Ormyridae Species from the United Arab Emirates (Hymenoptera, Chalcidoidea) Three new species (Ormyrus qurrayahi Zerova, sp. n., O. punctellus Zerova, sp. n. and O. novus Zerova, sp. n.) are described. Two first species belong to diffinis species group (female gaster without dorsal median keel). O. novus sp. n. belongs to orientalis species group (female gaster with dorsal median keel). In addition, two Palaearctic species of the genus Ormyrus are recorded from the United Arab Emirates for the first time. A key to Palaearctic Ormyrus species is provided.

The ‘aegrota species group’ of the Neotropical nymphalid genus Caeruleuptychia Forster, 1964, in addition to three other superficially similar, enigmatic species in the genus, are revised. A lectotype is designated for Euptychia aegrota Butler, 1867, E. aetherialis Butler, 1877 stat. rev., E. helios Weymer, 1911 and E. pilata Butler, 1867, and C. aetherialis is resurrected from its synonymy with C. aegrota. Caeruleuptychia helios caelestissima Brévignon, 2010, syn. nov., and Magneuptychia keltoumae Brévignon & Benmesbah, 2012, syn. nov. are both regarded as junior subjective synonyms of C. helios (Weymer, 1911), as a result of the discovery and first illustration of the female of this taxon. The female of C. aegrota is also described and illustrated for the first time, and three new species, C. trembathi Willmott, Nakahara, Hall & Neild, sp. nov., C. scripta Nakahara, Zacca & Huertas, sp. nov., and C. maryzenderae Lamas & Nakahara, sp. nov. are described and named. We analyze morphological and molecular data separately, in addition to combining morphological data with molecular data, to provide the first phylogenetic hypothesis for the taxa treated in this revision.

A survey of the whirligig beetles of the genus Patrus Aubé, 1838 occurring in Thailand belonging to the newly designated Patrus landaisi species group is presented. Three new species are described and illustrated: P. garuda sp. nov., P. nanensis sp. nov. and P. phetchabunensis sp. nov.; with P. apicalis (Régimbart, 1891), P. landaisi (Régimbart, 1892), and P. subapicalis (Ochs, 1930) stat. nov. being recorded for the first time in Thailand. Morphological and molecular analyses, together in an integrative approach, support the elevation of P. subapicalis to species status, instead of being a subspecies of P. apicalis. A diagnosis, illustrations of habitus and diagnostic characters, distribution maps, habitat images and a key to species are provided for all known members of the P. landaisi species group that occur in Thailand. A checklist of species in the group is also given.

Three new species-groups are established for eastern Palaearctic species of the genus Anthobium Leach, 1819: Gracilipalpe-group containing A. gracilipalpe (Champion, 1920) (Uttaranchal, Nepal), A. daliense sp.n. (China: Yunnan, Diancang Shan) and A. nivale sp.n. (China: Yunnan, Gaoligong Shan). Morchella-group containing A. morchella sp.n. (China: Yunnan, Baima Shan), A. hydraenoides sp.n. (China: Yunnan, Meili Xue Shan) and A. puetzi sp.n. (China: Sichuan, Daxue Shan, Qionglai Shan). Nigrum-Group containing A. nigrum (Cameron, 1924) (Himalaya), A. anishchenkoi sp.n. (China: Gansu, Dalijia Shan), A. conjunctum sp.n. (China: Yunnan, Diancang Shan), A. densepunctatum sp.n. (China: Yunnan, Meili Xue Shan) and A. ivani sp.n. (Nepal: Bagmati; Bhutan). The species groups are defined, briefly discussed and a key to the species included in each group is given. Lectotypes are designated for Eudeliphrum gracilipalpe Champion, 1920 and Lathrimaeum nigrum Cameron, 1924. Species in each species-group are described/redescribed, illustrated and their geographical distribution is mapped. Members of the genus Anthobium are recorded for the first time from China and Bhutan, and Anthobium gracilipalpe is recorded for the first time from Nepal.

Eleven species of hummingbird flower mites of the genera Proctolaelaps Berlese, 1923, Tropicoseius Baker & Yunker, 1964 and Rhinoseius Baker & Yunker, 1964 were recorded from hummingbirds in Costa Rica. Three new species of the genus Proctolaelaps are described and figured, i.e. P. threnetes Dusbabek & Literak, sp. nov., P. naskreckii Dusbabek & Havlicek, sp. nov. and P. chalybura Dusbabek & Capek, sp. nov. A key for identification of females and males of the P. belemensis species group is included. Five species of the genus Tropicoseius and three species of the genus Rhinoseius are recorded, three of these species are recorded from Costa Rica for the first time.

Based on specimens collected from Yunnan, Xizang, and Taiwan in China, nine new species of the Lordiphosa denticeps species group, L. mikioides sp. nov., L. kimurai sp. nov., L. anthophilia sp. nov., L. yangi sp. nov., L. tibetica sp. nov., L. medogensis sp. nov., L. hamatispina sp. nov., L. secula sp. nov., and L. spatulata sp. nov., were described and four known species, L. denticeps (Okada & Sasakawa), L. neokurokawai (Singh & Gupta), L. ramula Zhang, and L. tripartita (Okada), were redescribed. In addition, we provided a key to all species of this species group. Males of three new species, L. mikioides, L. kimurai, and L. anthophilia, have distinct sex-combs consisting of black, stout teeth on the 1st and 2nd tarsomeres of foreleg; the large, longitudinal sex-comb on the 1st tarsomere is similar to those seen in the L. miki species group and the subgenus Sophophora Sturtevant of the genus Drosophila Fallén. Two of these and another new species were collected at flowering Impatiens L. (Balsaminaceae) stands: all specimens of L. anthophilia and L. medogensis directly from flowers, and some specimens of L. kimurai by net sweeping. The presence of large, longitudinal sex-combs and the flower-visiting habit were reported for the first time in the L. denticeps group.

A taxonomic revision of the species-group related to M. filiformis (Saussure 1854) is presented along with an identification key to species. After Richards (1978) and following the rearrangement of the subgenus Omega de Saussure by Silveira (2008), the species-group considered herein included three species in addition to M. filiformis; i.e. M. buyssoni (Ducke 1906), M. napoensis Richards 1978 and M. omicron Richards 1978.  In the present work, three new species are added: M. nazgul sp. nov.; M. asahi sp. nov.; M. kallindusfloren sp. nov.; the male of M. filiformis is also described here in detail for the first time, and new distributional records are provided for the included species.

AbstractThe new species Stibeutes hirsutus, S. calderonae and Gnotus klausi from Spanish holm-oak and cork-oak woods are described and illustrated. Data on their habitat and the phenology of S. hirsutus are reported. The species S. breviareolatus collected in a cork-oak forest is recorded for the first time for Spain. New keys for the Gnotus tenuipes species group and for the Spanish species of Stibeutes are provided.

The genus Rhaphium Meigen, 1803 is recorded for the first time from mangroves in Hong Kong. Three species are described as new to science: Rhaphium hongkongense sp. nov. and Rhaphium spinulatum sp. nov., both tentatively belonging to the Rhaphium crassipes group sensu Negrobov & Grichanov (2010), and Rhaphium canniccii sp. nov. assigned to a new species group, the Rhaphium micans group. The status of Rhaphium mediocre (Becker, 1922) described from Taiwan and Rhaphium eburnea (Parent, 1926) from Shanghai is discussed. NGS barcodes for the new species are provided.
