In view of the problems existed in moving object detection in video surveillance system, background subtraction method is adopted and combined with Surendra algorithm for background modeling, an algorithm of detecting moving object from video is proposed, and OpenCV programming is adopted in Visual c ++ 6.0 for implementation. Experimental results indicate that the algorithm can accurately detect and identify moving object in video by reading the image sequence of surveillance video, the validity of the algorithm is verified.

To realize video surveillance at any time and any place, a kind of video surveillance platform based on 3G smart phone was designed. In this paper, the general design scheme of video surveillance system was firstly introduced. Then, the surveillance software development method of smart phone client, the transmission mode and transmission protocol of surveillance video were also emphatically described. This system used SVAC which is kind of specifying surveillance video to meet security-monitoring demand. It used multi-image display to realized multi-channel video surveillance, and also used multi-thread to increase the running speed of software. Experimental results demonstrate that it can obtain stable real-time surveillance video.

A video management way based on Oracle interMedia is proposed, to make up the shortages of single classify and low search efficiency based on files in traditional video surveillance system. The solution is designed on structural description model for video, proposed a classify way which described the video from attribute, character, main frame summary and video data. Adopt interMedia to create table in Oracle, achieve classify storage for video and description. At last, design the test software in VC. Experimental results show that the video can storage in Oracle well, compared with the traditional file storage way, it has a better classify storage and search efficiency.

In recent years, with the development of video surveillance systems, the cluster and load balancing technology need be applied to improve the system performance and the quality of service. In this paper, on the basis of common load balancing algorithms, considering the characteristics of the video surveillance system, design a new load balancing scheduling mechanism, by improving the weighted round robin algorithm and introducing the nodes cooperation strategy. The testing results show that the new mechanism can distribute the loads more reasonably and make use of the server resources more effectively.
