Subscription Policy Control Framework for IMS-Based Networks

The Policy and Charging Control (PCC) architecture was firstly introduced in the 3GPP’s Release 7. However, the PCC has its problems. The main problems include the incapability of performing policy control with consideration of subscriber profiles and missing specification on how to organize and express the policy information. In addition, no policy control at application session establishment stage also contributes to its imperfectness. In this paper, the authors propose a subscription-based policy control framework that implements a subscription-centered approach for policy control and to enable flexible policy definitions based on the subscriber’s profile at the application level. The framework also provides functionalities of organizing the subscription data, identifying the policy, regulating the policy control process, interpreting, managing and enforcing the corresponding policies. The main objective is to qualify the subscribers and thus, enhance the network customization through defining flexible policies based on policy control requirements for different subscribers.

This paper presents the implementation fuzzy logic control on the battery charging system. To control the charging process is a complex system due to the exponential relationship between the charging voltage, charging current and the charging time. The effective of charging process controller is needed to maintain the charging process. Because if the charging process cannot under control, it can reduce the cycle life of the battery and it can damage the battery as well. In order to get charging control effectively, the Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) for a Valve Regulated Lead-Acid Battery (VRLA) Charger is being embedded in the charging system unit. One of the advantages of using FLC beside the PID controller is the fact that, we don’t need a mathematical model and several parameters of coefficient charge and discharge to software implementation in this complex system. The research is started by the hardware development where the charging method and the combination of the battery charging system itself to prepare, then the study of the fuzzy logic controller in the relation of the charging control, and the determination of the parameter for the charging unit will be carefully investigated. Through the experimental result and from the expert knowledge, that is very helpful for tuning of the  embership function and the rule base of the fuzzy controller.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan fungsi manajemen pada Masjid Al-Anshari dalam meningkatkan Jama’ah Shalat Shubuh dan Shalat Jum’at. Secara lebih rinci tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk pengetahui proses perencanaan, proses pengorganisasian, proses penggerakan dan proses pengendalian di Masjid Al-Anshari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dipandang tepat untuk digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Adapun metode pengumpulan data yakni dengan cara observasi, wawancara, rekaman audio dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Masjid Al-Anshari di dalam meningkatkan jama’ah Shalat Shubuh dan Shalat Jum’at memiliki proses perencanaan berupa penyusunan unsur tujuan, unsur kebijakan, unsur kemajuan, dan unsur program. Proses pengorganisasian yang dilakukan dengan pembagian kerja melalui struktur organisasi, departementalisasi dengan deksripsi kerjanya, distribusi otoritas, dan koordinasi yang dilakukan setiap Briefing di Coffee Break. Proses penggerakan dilakukan melalui proses motivasi, proses kepemimpinan dan proses komunikasi. Proses pengendalian dilakukan dengan memperbaiki penyimpangan-penyimpangan yang ada.   This study aims to determine the application of management functions in the Al-Ansari Mosque in improving Jama'ah Shubuh Prayer and Friday Prayers. In more detail, the purpose of this research is to find out the planning process, the organizing process, the mobilization process and the control process at Al-Ansari Mosque.  This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, considered appropriate for use in this study. The data collection method is by observation, interview, audio recording and documentation study.  The results of this study indicate that the Al-Ansari Mosque in improving the congregation of the Shubuh Prayers and Friday Prayers has a planning process in the form of compilation of objectives, policy elements, progress elements, and program elements. The organizing process is carried out with the division of labor through the organizational structure, departmentalization with its work description, distribution of authority, and coordination that is carried out every Briefing at Coffee Break. The mobilization process is carried out through a motivational process, a leadership process and a communication process. The control process is carried out by correcting the existing deviations.
