Recent developments in digital forensics (DF) have emphasized that along with inspection of digital evidence, the study of behavioural clues based on behavioural evidence analysis (BEA) is vital for accurate and complete criminal investigation. This paper reviews the existing BEA approaches and process models and concludes the lack of standardisation in the BEA process. The research comprehends that existing BEA methodologies are restricted to specific characteristics of the forensic domain in question. To address these limitations, the paper proposes a standardised approach detailing the step-by-step implementation of BEA in the DF process. The proposed model presents a homogenous technique that can be practically applied to real-life cases. This standard BEA framework classifies digital evidence into categories to decipher associated offender characteristics. Unlike existing models, this new approach collects evidence from diverse sources and leaves no aspect unattended while probing criminal behavioural cues, thus facilitating its applicability across varied forensic domains.

This chapter stresses the importance of integrating empirical evidence in the construction process of reference models. With reference to the authors’ underly-ing epistemological beliefs, requirements for an empirically grounded process model are derived. Based on a literature review of existing process models and experience gained from three research projects, an advanced process model is proposed in order to provide concrete instructions that show how these require-ments can be met. Real-life examples from completed and ongoing research pro-jects are continuously integrated so as to contribute to the practicability of the proposed model for the reader.

In evidence collection session, original resource of electric data collection was discussed. In evidence preservation session, electronic data storage system on Hadoop was designed. In evidence analysis session, two types of crime data were analyzed. In evidence presentation session, what the result should be shown were explained.

In the recent electricity market framework, the profit of the generation companies depends on the decision of the operator on the schedule of its units, the energy price, and the optimal bidding strategies. Due to the expanded integration of uncertain renewable generators which is highly intermittent such as wind plants, the coordination with other facilities to mitigate the risks of imbalances is mandatory. Accordingly, coordination of wind generators with the evolutionary Electric Vehicles (EVs) is expected to boost the performance of the grid. In this paper, we propose a robust optimization approach for the coordination between the wind-thermal generators and the EVs in a virtual<br>power plant (VPP) environment. The objective of maximizing the profit of the VPP Operator (VPPO) is studied. The optimal bidding strategy of the VPPO in the day-ahead market under uncertainties of wind power, energy<br>prices, imbalance prices, and demand is obtained for the worst case scenario. A case study is conducted to assess the e?effectiveness of the proposed model in terms of the VPPO's profit. A comparison between the proposed model and the scenario-based optimization was introduced. Our results confirmed that, although the conservative behavior of the worst-case robust optimization model, it helps the decision maker from the fluctuations of the uncertain parameters involved in the production and bidding processes. In addition, robust optimization is a more tractable problem and does not suffer from<br>the high computation burden associated with scenario-based stochastic programming. This makes it more practical for real-life scenarios.<br>

Since computing semantic similarity tends to simulate the thinking process of humans, semantic dissimilarity must play a part in this process. In this paper, we present a new approach for semantic similarity measuring by taking consideration of dissimilarity into the process of computation. Specifically, the proposed measures explore the potential antonymy in the hierarchical structure of WordNet to represent the dissimilarity between concepts and then combine the dissimilarity with the results of existing methods to achieve semantic similarity results. The relation between parameters and the correlation value is discussed in detail. The proposed model is then applied to different text granularity levels to validate the correctness on similarity measurement. Experimental results show that the proposed approach not only achieves high correlation value against human ratings but also has effective improvement to existing path-distance based methods on the word similarity level, in the meanwhile effectively correct existing sentence similarity method in some cases in Microsoft Research Paraphrase Corpus and SemEval-2014 date set.

Habitat loss has reduced the available resources for apiarists and is a key driver of poor colony health, colony loss, and reduced honey yields. The biggest challenge for apiarists in the future will be meeting increasing demands for pollination services, honey, and other bee products with limited resources. Targeted landscape restoration focusing on high-value or high-yielding forage could ensure adequate floral resources are available to sustain the growing industry. Tools are currently needed to evaluate the likely productivity of potential sites for restoration and inform decisions about plant selections and arrangements and hive stocking rates, movements, and placements. We propose a new approach for designing sites for apiculture, centred on a model of honey production that predicts how changes to plant and hive decisions affect the resource supply, potential for bees to collect resources, consumption of resources by the colonies, and subsequently, amount of honey that may be produced. The proposed model is discussed with reference to existing models, and data input requirements are discussed with reference to an Australian case study area. We conclude that no existing model exactly meets the requirements of our proposed approach, but components of several existing models could be combined to achieve these needs.

The LED chip manufacturing (LED-CM) is an important process in the LED supply chain. The make-to-order production strategy is a general production model for the LED-CM plants to satisfy the variety requirement of their customers. However, the special features of the unstable production output and a product composed of the chips of different feasible Bins exist in the LED-CM plant. The production planner will confront the issue of effective inventory control and exact due-date performance under the severely competitive pressure. Therefore an effective order fulfillment procedure for production planners is a required key issue to accomplish the inventory control and exact due-date performance. An order fulfillment model for production planner is thus proposed in this paper to meet the requirement of the LED-CM plants. A real-life LED-CM case is also utilized to demonstrate and evaluate the application and effectiveness of the proposed model.
