Renewable energy is derived from natural resources and most commonly used renewable energy system is photovoltaic cells. DC-DC boost converter serves many purposes and usually required in many applications which has a low output voltage such as batteries, photo-voltaic cell. In this paper interleaved boost converter (IBC) topology is discussed for solar energy generation. IBC have better performance characteristics compared to a conventional boost converter due to increased efficiency. DC-DC IBC have been considered and analyzed by input current ripple and output current ripple and output voltage ripple. The waveforms of voltage and current ripples and the output voltage are obtained by using MATLAB/SIMULINK are presented. The design of inductor, capacitor and analysis of ripples has been presented.

Mass commercialization of fuel cells (FC) and its usage in transportation requires that the FC technology to be competitive with regard to performance and cost, while meeting efficiency and emissions targets. Therefore, fuel cell output current ripple that may shorten FC lifespan, worsen FC efficiency and reduce the FC output capacity need to be addressed. In this paper, an improved multi-device interleaved boost converter (MDIBC) with novel multiplex controller topology is designed to further reduce the input current and output voltage ripples, without increasing the number of MDIBC switching devices. The Matlab/Simulink behaviour model of the improved MDIBC with novel multiplex controller and conventional MDIBC circuit are developed in the simulation studies. The proposed improved MDIBC design is then compared with the conventional MDIBC and its performance is verified.

This paper tells about a comparative analysis of DC-DC converter for renewable energy system. DC-DC converter with transformer has been proved that it is suitable to the electrolysis application. High frequency voltage matching transformer is used in this topology, due to the high input and output voltage difference. In this comparation is done with and without transformer to obtain the stabilized output voltage. The MATLAB simulation result shows that the output voltage with transformer is free from ripples.
