In this work the possibility of increasing the amplitude of ultra-short pulses and formation of a monocycle Gaussian by adding signals from several oscillators was investigated. For this purpose, the ring adders of Wilkinson design were used. The design of which has been chosen due to low losses and high input decoupling. The S-parameters of the adders with different geometrical parameters have been simulated in the frequency band up to 5 GHz. The obtained results coincided with the experimentally measured characteristics. The monopulse amplitude was increased and a bipolar pulse shape was formed by adding ultrashort pulses of equal and different polarities using the adders. This approach allows you to adjust the parameters of the output signal by adjusting the delays of the triggering signals.

High input of chemical fertilizer causes land degradation on agriculture. This research is experimental which aims to analyze degree of acidity and macro-nutrients in mussel shell, and analyze chemical properties of soil before and after application of mussel shell suplement. The research was conducted during July to September 2020 at BPTP Laboratory, Narmada West Lombok. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that mussel shell (Pilsbryocomcha excilis) had pH and macro-nutrients potential as an ecofertilizer. Soil chemical properties increase after application of mussel shell (Pilsbryocomcha excilis) supplement. Key words: mussel; shell; soil enhancer; suplement

A 2.5-GS/s 12-bit four-way time-interleaved pipelined-SAR ADC is presented in 28-nm CMOS. A bias-enhanced ring amplifier is utilized as the residue amplifier to achieve high bandwidth and excellent power efficiency compared with a traditional operational amplifier. A high linearity front-end is proposed to alleviate the non-linearity of the diode for ESD protection in the input PAD. The embedded input buffer can suppress the kickback noise at high input frequencies. A blind background calibration based on digital-mixing is used to correct the mismatches between channels. Additionally, an optional neural network calibration is also provided. The prototype ADC achieves a low-frequency SNDR/SFDR of 51.0/68.0 dB, translating a competitive FoMw of 0.48 pJ/conv.-step at 250 MHz input running at 2.5 GS/s.

AbstractWhen laser beams propagate through media with non-vanishing absorption, the media is heated resulting in a change of the refractive index, which can lead to thermal lensing and thermal blooming. However, experimental details about both phenomena for propagations in water are lacking, especially for high-power lasers in the kilowatt range. We show that significant thermal lensing occurs only for high input powers before the onset of convective flow, while for low input powers, no strong thermal lens arises. After the onset of water flow, thermal blooming occurs at low input powers comparable to that known for propagations over kilometres in the air. However, for high input powers a thermal blooming on a qualitatively higher level is shown. By wavefront sensing, the change of refractive index distribution in water is investigated. This clearly shows the fast development of a strong thermal lens for high input powers and the onset of convection. Furthermore, a qualitatively good agreement of the accompanying simulations is observed. It is found that the absorption coefficient is linear with a value of $$\mu ={13.7}\,{\mathrm{m}^{-1}}$$ μ = 13.7 m - 1 at least up to 7.5 kW, i.e. 8 $$\mathrm{kW/cm}^2$$ kW / cm 2 . However, the directed transmission into an aperture is only constant before any thermal lensing of blooming occurs.

Abstract In this paper, a new n-type recessed Metal semiconductor field effect transistor (MESFET) with GaAs/ SiC materials is designed for high power applications in Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) systems. Based on electrical characteristics of MESFET, a SPICE model of the proposed device is developed. For power switches, the power MESFETs are used. The feasibility of the technology is validated by the electrical measurements of the device. The operational technology has been shown by the characterizations done on the proposed device. To optimize the electrical performance, the contact resistance technique has to be enhanced. In this work, the output power and Gain compression of proposed n-channel MESFET at 100 MHz and 1 GHz for high input power is obtained. The output power at fundamental frequency of operation for high input power is also obtained.

This study uses 31 provinces and municipalities from China’s textile industry as a research sample and divides the region into four geographical areas: eastern, central, western, and northeastern. It quantified smart servitization in the textile industry using input–output data and applied the fuzzy set qualitative comparison analysis to identify potential pathways for promoting smart servitization in the textile industry. The study’s findings indicate that there are significant geographical differences in the level of smart servitization in the textile industry across China. Moreover, the transformation and development of the textile industry require the co-operation of numerous factors, and the Chinese textile industry’s transformation paths can be summarized as “high-input” path, “technology—aggregation” path, “open” path, and “economic-agglomeration” path.

This article explores an overlooked aspect of the 'resilience of pastoralism' in crises through an ethnographic case study of a series of conflicts between the Samburu and the Pokot in Kenya that erupted in 2004. Emery Roe's concepts of reliability professionals and real-time management of pastoralists are utilised as theoretical frameworks for this study. It was observed that the 'logic of high input variance matched by high process variance to ensure low and stable output variance' occurred through the formation of clustered settlements and an inter-ethnic mobile phone network. This case illustrates how pastoralists endured the conflict as reliability professionals.
