Heifers injected with prostaglandin F2α had significantly higher pregnancy and conception rates within 11 d of start of breeding than noninjected heifers; 56.9 vs. 45.5 pregnancy as a percent of heifers exposed (P < 0.05) and 74.1 vs. 58.2 conception as a percent of pregnant heifers (P < 0.005). Data were pooled for 422 heifers over 5 yr. However, there were no significant effects on calving distribution or weaning weights of their calves.
