Globalization of education is closely connected to increasing personality requirements for university teachers who should be well-educated professionals as well as mature personalities coping with interactions not only within the environment of their faculty or university, but also in the broader new global environment. As they are expected to provide complex training of the graduates for the practice in the globalized world, they are supposed to have mastered not only professional and pedagogical competences, but also social competences which belong amongst the key competences. This contribution deals with the issue of social competences amongst which we also include specific group of global skills. The issue of competences can be perceived as a challenge for the whole educational system, including the training of future teachers who in the new global environment gradually change into global teachers. For realization of educational activities at universities in the new global environment intercultural and global competencies or global skills are important in particular. Not only they facilitate fulfilling of educational goals, they also provide complex training of the graduates for the practice in different fields of science and technology with regard to the the fact that they will then realize teaching in the new global economic and social environment. At the same time they provide easier communication and cooperation with different subjects at schools, universities and in the broader social environment. In the contribution we provide a summary of definitions and opinions of different authors on this issue. Currently these are considered to make a part of the “professional competence” of a global teacher who can understand the changes in the global environment and react to them flexibly through his pedagogical activities. No matter to what extent the competencies along with knowledge and skills are considered to represent goals and simultaneously results of education, social competences of university teachers should be currently perceived as an issue that demands increasing attention also from university pedagogy which is understood as an important prerequisite of quality pedagogical work of a university teacher. This issue actually became a matter of interest of numerous university workplaces.

ABSTRACTThrough education it is possible to build a fairer and democratic society, strengthening the overcoming of social inequalities. The higher education institutions can contemporary contribute to the internationalization of education proces-ses, observing the existing demand in other countries. The aim of this paper is to present the possibilities of a private insti-tution of higher education located in Maringa - Parana - Brazil, by offering graduate courses in the distance geographically dispersed  students  around  the  world  who  speak  the  Portuguese  language.  The  presented  model  enable  students  to  attend classes, participate in activities that take place throughout the course and come to Brazil only once, at the end of the whole process, to realize tests and present an article. From the perspective of the strategies aiming internationalization, the techno-logical expansion is considered one of the most important tools to allow the globalization of education. The use of the Inter-net  in  distance  learning,  allows  the  development  of  learning  communities  in  higher  education,  that  is,  the  formation  of networks. The theoretical foundation of this study is based on Green (2008), Levy (1996, 1999), Castells (2007), Sen (2000).RESUMOPor meio da educação é possível construir uma sociedade mais justa e democrática, fortalecendo a superação das desigualdades sociais. As Instituições de Ensino Superior podem contemporaneamente contribuir para os processos de internacionalização do ensino, observando-se a demanda existente em outros países. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar as possibilidades de uma instituição privada de ensino superior localizada em Maringá - Paraná - Brasil, ao oferecer cursos de pós-graduação na modalidade a distância a alunos dispersos geograficamente pelo mundo que falem a língua portuguesa. O modelo apresentado torna possível que os alunos assistam as aulas, participem das atividades que ocorrem ao longo do curso e se desloquem ao Brasil apenas uma vez ao final de todo o processo para realizar prova presencial e apresentar artigo como trabalho de conclusão de curso. Sob o prisma das estratégias que visam a internacionalização, a expansão tecnológica é considerada um dos mais importantes instrumentos para permitir a globalização da educação. O uso da Internet na modalidade à distancia, permite o desenvolvimento das comunidades de aprendizagem no ensino superior, ou seja, a formação de redes. A fundamentação teórica deste estudo está alicerçada em Green (2008), Levy (1996, 1999), Castells (2007), Sen (2000).

Afghanistan which is known as the heart of Asia and strategic hub, has been burning in political parties and world super powers vicarious fight. Simultaneously, with the conflicts it would like to keep abreast with the world development. In consideration of speed of technology and improvements of world, globalization of education is one of the controversial issues. Education plays a key and an important role in taking decisions, social, economic and cultural activities in human society. For this reason, it minimum decreases human separations and makes countries’ profits closer to each other. Human thoughts and knowledge simply break the limitations and pave the ground for human interactions. Information of this review has taken from national and international libraries, magazines and articles. This study has considered as a limit of library and has used thoughts and ideas of scientists and theorists about globalization. Result of study shows that how globalization affects on country’s education that has faced problems and opportunities in their education. By consideration of effective and active plan we can reach out the problems. We can change weak points to strong points simultaneously with world. Despite of all accompanying countries cooperation and attention for developing education system and rehabilitation of Afghanistan, still there are lots of challenges for standardizing education system. By presenting objective suggestions and struggling to build standardized education system, we can achieve our goals.
