In an effort to meet the increasing demand for educational services for emotionally disturbed children in public schools, the authors describe their use of one form of mental health consultation. This approach was focused on regular classroom teachers and school administrators who were in contact with disturbed children. All of the consultants were affiliated with a public school special class program.

This study explored how school administrators in Kuwait conceive students' thinking skills and their perceived role in promoting such skills. A random sample of school principals and head teachers was interviewed. A major finding of this study was that administrators understand students' thinking in terms of higher levels of thinking activities. Administrators also indicated that they can play a significant role in this endeavor by giving teachers the opportunity to be creative and encouraging and helping them to be so. However, they believe that their role is hindered by their limited authority, their many managerial responsibilities, and the limited time available to finish the prescribed curriculum.

The term “blended learning” has gained considerable interest in recent years as a description of particular forms of teaching combined with technology. This chapter reports in some detail the experience of a small group of undergraduate learners as they progress through their Bachelor course at University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) in the United Arab Emirates. In particular, this study looks at discussion forum approach as a blended learning initiative and what that entails to the learners in terms of making the subject more interactive and enhancing students' analytical and research skills. From the findings, a conclusion has been drawn regarding the role of the Blackboard tool in learning by helping students to obtain a deep sense of understanding of how to operate in a virtual team despite the challenges.
