Partners search and negotiation, selection, establishment of contracts, virtual enterprise integration, monitoring and enforcement of contracts, and so forth are complex and risky activities required by the virtual enterprise (VE) model. The need to keep a close alignment with the market environment in permanent change implies the high dynamics of the organizations’ structure reconfigurability, introducing a new concept of dynamically reconfigurable global networked structures, traduced by the agile/virtual enterprise (A/VE) organizational model. In the BM_virtual enterprise architecture reference model, Putnik (2001) presents “fast adaptability” or “fast reconfigurability” as the main enabler of business alignment and the main requirement for competitiveness.

The human communication processes that are involved in analyzing and designing a business and in designing, implementing, and maintaining information systems are affected by the fact that the information technology (IT) department of one company nowadays has to create software to fulfill requirements of people not only in their own company but in other companies too. In this context, the term “extended enterprise” is often used. The concept “extended enterprise” is, however, not unequivocally defined. This article first discusses the concept of the extended enterprise and opposes this form of economic organization to the two other basic forms of economic organization, namely, the firm and the market. Next, we derive from organization theory (see, e.g., Hatch, 1997; Morgan, 1996) two basic types of business-to-business integration (B2Bi), namely, extended enterprise integration and market B2Bi. We show that the extended enterprise constitutes a specific context within which information systems are being developed, integrated, and maintained, and that this context allows for/needs specific ways of integration. We discuss the role of standards and coordination for both types of B2Bi.

In this chapter we argue that there exist two basic forms of business-to-business integration (B2Bi), namely extended enterprise integration and market B2Bi. This chapter clarifies the meaning of both concepts, shows that the difference between both is fundamental, and discusses the consequences of the difference in the realm of Web services development. The importance of coordination and the role of standards are studied for both types of e-business. The authors hope this chapter clearly shows the foundations of B2Bi and that the chapter as such brings clarity into B2Bi practices.

Abstract - A school library is a place which serves many things for student and academic civitas needing. The Existence of school library is something important in the school environment to fulfill all of needs and interests which can be got from the the library, so the concept of library needs a new concept which can give more benefits from its existence. The concept of enterprise Architecture Planning is able to arrange a layout to realize a new concept for existencing a library, such as The information system integration for a library. In this Research.the researcher makes enterprise architecture to integrate the information system of school library such as : in SMUN 1 Tasikmalaya, SMU SIliwangi Tasikmalaya,SMK MJPS Tasikmalaya, SMK Bina Lestari PUI Tasikmalaya. Based on the business process which is run by every library, EAP can show a blueprint for the architecture of integration library information system which involves business architecture, application architecture, information architecture and technology architecture. Keyword: Enterprise, Arsitektur Enterprise, Integration Library Information System, SIPT.

In the paper, an emerging approach for risk-management in holonic manufacturing networks is going to be introduced, one that is based partly on the already-proven methods of process capability and six-sigma, but combines these with a novel cost-model and a general form of the extended enterprise architecture. The aim of the research is to develop this approach into an easily adaptable, network-based evaluation tool that would be especially suitable for holonic manufacturing systems, but might also be applied in other fields of the industry as well.
