BACKGROUND: Despite wide global attention to training programs in business organizations, research on training programs and their outcomes at the social enterprises in general is very limited. This study aims to explicate the drivers and effects of manager’s training.OBJECTIVE: Based on institutional theory, this research explores the reasons why social enterprises train their managers as well as how the legitimacy and performance improves in response to training.METHODS: Our theoretically derived model is tested using survey data obtained from ninety-nine senior managers of social enterprises in Pakistan. Data was analyzed through Partial Least Square structural equation modeling method (PLS-SEM).RESULTS: The results of analysis support the idea that training of managers is synergistically and interactively driven by institutional forces e.g. normative, mimetic and coercive pressures. These institutional pressures spur social enterprises and induce them to adopt training programs to enhance their external and internal legitimacy and improve their performance.CONCLUSIONS: This research emphasizes the importance of institutional pressures in adopting training programs in social enterprises. In sum, the present study provides important insights for senior managers in social enterprises who seek to foster external and internal legitimacy and improve performance. This study makes important contribution to the literature by developing an empirical link between institutional pressures and social enterprises performance. This research reiterates finding in previous studies to show the significance of the institutional forces in adoption of certain practices e.g. training of managers, to monitor the outcomes of training and providing further explanation regarding effects of training on legitimacy and performance.

Based on the institutional theory, this article explores how institutional pressures motivate firms to adopt m-commerce, and how such effects are mediated by top management. Structural equation modeling with partial least square is used to analyze valid data from 204 small and medium-sized firms in China. The empirical results manifest as: mimetic pressures, coercive pressures, normative pressures which could directly affect a firm's intention to adopt m-commerce while coercive pressures and normative pressures have a positive effect on top management support. Top management support partly mediates the influence of two institutional pressures, coercive pressures and normative pressures, on the adoption intention of m-commerce. The final implications of the findings for research and practice are discussed.

Prior studies suggest that differentiating strategy (DS) has an intervening impact on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and performance. However, they only examine the impacts based on each dimension of EO, provide a lack of theory underpinning why this strategy is the mediator, and focus on the manufacturing industry of an emerging market. Addressing these gaps, the purpose of this study draws from the contingency theory in strategic management to examine whether this strategy is the mediator in the context of Vietnam. Partial least square structural equation modeling used to assess the research model with data collected from 142 SMEs operating in Vietnam. The result indicates that DS fully has an intervening effect on the association between EO and SMEs' performance.

The Important-Performance Matrix Analysis (IPMA) is widely used in analytical technique that yields prescription for the management of customer satisfaction. IPA is a two-dimensional grid based on importance and performance of customer satisfaction. Yet, this paper intend to use the volunteers as a research subject to identify to what extent the strength of the relationship between exogenous and endogenous variable that can be derived. As pedagogical theoretical and past empirical studies, attribute level of performance and importance is relevance and significant. These finding reveals the capabilities of IPA towards a volunteerism program. Using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS 2.0, the asymmetric relationship importance and performance is provided. Futhermore, it shown that benefits factor is a major importance and performance for establishing Motivation.

The success of school management is determined by the utilization of its human resources. One of the factors to achieve the organiasasi goal is teacher performance. Due to the increase in performance it will form a more advanced learning and quality. Performance can be seen from the employment target of Civil Servant SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Utara Badung which decreased in 2015 that the achievement to meet the target succeed, but in the year 2016 decreased and resulted in not fulfill target. Based on these data and interview results that the decline in performance occurs due to lack of decisive leaders in making decisions that cause performance to fall. The purpose of this research is to confirm the linkage of Leadership Style and Organizational Culture to Teacher Motivation and Performance at SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Utara Badung. Population and sample in this research is entire teacher who have civil servant, that is population which amounted to 51 people. The analysis technique used in this research is structural equation modeling (SEM) based on variance or component based SEM, better known as Partial Least Square (PLS). From the research result, it is found that leadership style has no positive and not significant effect on teacher performance, leadership style has positive and significant effect to motivation. But the style of leadership will have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance if through motivation mediation.
