The purpose of this study was to investigate how turnover intention relates to job satisfaction, organizational commitment, leadership, job performance, and work-family conflict among manufacturing workers in Tennessee, USA. A causal model was proposed, and a turnover intention survey questionnaire for manufacturing workers was developed. The data were collected from manufacturing companies in the Tennessee area and analyzed by SPSS and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of our study indicated that job satisfaction and organizational commitment negatively and significantly affected manufacturing workers’ turnover intentions, while work-family conflict positively and significantly affected turnover intentions. Although leadership indirectly influenced turnover intention, its effects on turnover intention were fully mediated by job satisfaction and organizational commitment. No effect of job performance on turnover intention was found in this study with manufacturing workers. The results suggested that policies for enhancing worker job satisfaction and organizational commitment, balancing work-family conflict, and improving leadership style should be proposed to reduce turnover intention.

The purpose of this research was to look into the work-life interface of professionals in a de-manding and high-risk occupation in an organization in the security sector. Specifically, it focuses on the interaction between supervisor behaviors and culture with turnover intention and work-family conflict. The present study centers on data from a public security organization (3861) in a Latin American country. The validity of the measuring instruments was evaluated through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was then applied to evaluate the relationship between variables. Results found show a statistically significant negative impact of the supervisor behaviors in organizational (turnover intention) and individual outcomes (work-family conflict). At the same time, organizational culture negatively affects turnover intentions and work-family conflict. While confirming results coming from the private sector in other countries, the importance of supervisor behaviors and culture provides implications for work and family practices in this type of organization.

This research aims to analyze the impact of work-family conflict and emotional exhaustion on female nurse performance through organizational commitment in Petrokimia Gresik Hospital. This study is using quantitative methods. The population in this study is 46 respondents. Saturation sampling is the sampling technique used in this study and obtained 46 respondents. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of software SmartPLS is the analysis technique used in this study. The study found that work-family conflict has a significant negative effect on job performance. Work-family conflict has a significant negative effect on organizational commitment. Emotional exhaustion has a significant negative effect on job performance. Emotional exhaustion has a significant negative effect on organizational commitment. Organizational commitment has a significant positive effect on job performance. Work-family conflict has a significant result in job performance through organizational commitment. Emotional exhaustion has a significant result in job performance through organizational commitment.

This study developed a research model that was empirically tested to re-explain the variables that could affect turnover intention by using data obtained from interviews using a questionnaire to PT Apparel One Indonesia’s employees. The test is carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The test results show that work stress and family conflict are proven to have a significant negative effect on organizational commitment. The results of this study also show that work stress and work family conflict have a significant positive effect on turnover intention, while organizational commitment has a significant negative effect on turnover intention.

The idea behind this research is to empirically examine relationship between causes (Work-Family Conflict & Job Stress) and consequences (Job Satisfaction & Turnover Intention) of Job Burnout along with its mediating effects in higher educational context of Punjab, Pakistan. The professors, associate professors, assistant professors and lecturers that belongs to different universities in province Punjab of Pakistan were targeted population. Structured and self-administered questionnaire was used to collect the data from six hundred and ten teachers. SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) was used to analyze data. The current study concludes significant relationships between all the aforesaid causes and consequences of Job Burnout except relationship between Job Satisfaction and Job Stress. Furthermore, Job Burnout portrayed its mediating effects between them. This study imparts the management and administration of the higher education institutions in uncovering and eliminating the harms of Job Burnout.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship of doctors’ job satisfaction with doctor-patient relationship and work-family conflict in China. The data came from a cross-sectional survey in Hubei province, which was part of China’s Fifth National Health Services Survey conducted in 2013. The survey in Hubei covered 54 secondary and tertiary general hospitals distributed in 20 counties. Of the 1080 questionnaires, 908 were included into our analysis. After surviving from reliability and validity tests, structural equation modeling was applied for further analysis with SPSS 20.0 and Mplus 7.0. The results showed that the average score of job satisfaction is 19.61 out of 30 points, indicating a relatively low level of doctors’ job satisfaction in Hubei province. Work-family conflict was found to have negative impact on doctors’ job satisfaction, and good doctor-patient relationship was found to have positive impact on their job satisfaction. Therefore, hospital administrators and policy makers should make effort to design and implement strategies that focus on meliorating doctor-patient relationship and balancing doctors’ work and family life to further improve their job satisfaction.

PurposeThis study aims to assess the direct relationships between internal support and job satisfaction and voluntary assistance and their indirect connections through work–family conflict among Nigerian police officers.Design/methodology/approachSurvey data were collected from police officers in a midsized state police command in Ebonyi state in Nigeria. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to assess the connections between supervisor support, peer support, work–family conflict, job satisfaction and voluntary assistance.FindingsPolice officers with stronger supervisor and co-worker support are more inclined to express higher job satisfaction, whereas such support is not linked to officers' willingness to help fellow officers. Work–family conflict mediates the relationship between co-worker support and voluntary assistance. Stronger peer support is accompanied by higher work–family conflict, which then is linked to greater helping behavior.Originality/valueDespite many studies on police job satisfaction, research on correlates of job satisfaction in an African context remains severely under-investigated. This study represents one of the first attempts to assess police proactive helping behavior and job satisfaction in Nigeria.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to examine work-family conflict and psychological empowerment as correlates and predictors of turnover intentions among married female doctors. It further aimed to identify significant differences in study variables among the sample in terms of the type of family system i.e., nuclear and joint. Materials and Methods: This correlational study analyzed a sample of 105 married female doctors aged 23-45 years (Mage=31.69; SD=5.20) working in different hospitals of Lahore, Pakistan. Participants completed Work-Family Conflict Scale, Psychological Empowerment Instrument and Turnover Intention Scale. Results and Discussion: Dimensions of work-family conflict had a significant positive relationship with turnover intentions. Furthermore, psychological empowerment had a significant negative relation with turnover intentions. Behavior-based family interference with work and psychological empowerment emerged as significant predictors of turnover intentions among the sample. No significant differences were found in study variables in terms of nuclear and joint family system. Conclusion: Implications of findings are discussed with reference to the medical profession.
