Let (M, ω) be a symplectic manifold induced by an integrable G-structure P on M . In this paper, we characterize the symplectic manifolds induced by the tangent lifts of higher order r ≥ 1 of G-structure P, from M to TrM .

AbstractWe give a detailed proof of the homological Arnold conjecture for nondegenerate periodic Hamiltonians on general closed symplectic manifolds M via a direct Piunikhin–Salamon–Schwarz morphism. Our constructions are based on a coherent polyfold description for moduli spaces of pseudoholomorphic curves in a family of symplectic manifolds degenerating from $${{\mathbb {C}}{\mathbb {P}}}^1\times M$$ C P 1 × M to $${{\mathbb {C}}}^+ \times M$$ C + × M and $${{\mathbb {C}}}^-\times M$$ C - × M , as developed by Fish–Hofer–Wysocki–Zehnder as part of the Symplectic Field Theory package. To make the paper self-contained we include all polyfold assumptions, describe the coherent perturbation iteration in detail, and prove an abstract regularization theorem for moduli spaces with evaluation maps relative to a countable collection of submanifolds. The 2011 sketch of this proof was joint work with Peter Albers, Joel Fish.

We study the complete, compact, locally affine manifolds equipped with a k-symplectic structure, which are the quotients of Rn(k+1) by a subgroup Γ of the affine group A(n(k+1)) of Rn(k+1) acting freely and properly discontinuously on Rn(k+1) and leaving invariant the k-symplectic structure, then we construct and give some examples and properties of compact, complete, locally affine two-symplectic manifolds of dimension three.

We are proposing Tulczyjew’s triple for contact dynamics. The most important ingredients of the triple, namely symplectic diffeomorphisms, special symplectic manifolds, and Morse families, are generalized to the contact framework. These geometries permit us to determine so-called generating family (obtained by merging a special contact manifold and a Morse family) for a Legendrian submanifold. Contact Hamiltonian and Lagrangian Dynamics are recast as Legendrian submanifolds of the tangent contact manifold. In this picture, the Legendre transformation is determined to be a passage between two different generators of the same Legendrian submanifold. A variant of contact Tulczyjew’s triple is constructed for evolution contact dynamics.

Abstract In this article, we consider integrable systems on manifolds endowed with symplectic structures with singularities of order one. These structures are symplectic away from a hypersurface where the symplectic volume goes either to infinity or to zero transversally, yielding either a $b$-symplectic form or a folded symplectic form. The hypersurface where the form degenerates is called critical set. We give a new impulse to the investigation of the existence of action-angle coordinates for these structures initiated in [34] and [35] by proving an action-angle theorem for folded symplectic integrable systems. Contrary to expectations, the action-angle coordinate theorem for folded symplectic manifolds cannot be presented as a cotangent lift as done for symplectic and $b$-symplectic forms in [34]. Global constructions of integrable systems are provided and obstructions for the global existence of action-angle coordinates are investigated in both scenarios. The new topological obstructions found emanate from the topology of the critical set $Z$ of the singular symplectic manifold. The existence of these obstructions in turn implies the existence of singularities for the integrable system on $Z$.

In this paper, we give an analogue of the Hermitian structure in the almost complex case, on an [Formula: see text]-dimensional manifold endowed with an almost [Formula: see text]-complex metric. Also, we study the compatibility between Riemannian metric and polarized [Formula: see text]-symplectic structure. Also, we study some properties of an almost [Formula: see text]-complex structure. Moreover, we give an equivalence between almost [Formula: see text]-complex structures, [Formula: see text]-almost tangent structures and [Formula: see text]-almost cotangent structures.

The geometric properties of sigma models with target space a Jacobi manifold are investigated. In their basic formulation, these are topological field theories—recently introduced by the authors—which share and generalise relevant features of Poisson sigma models, such as gauge invariance under diffeomorphisms and finite dimension of the reduced phase space. After reviewing the main novelties and peculiarities of these models, we perform a detailed analysis of constraints and ensuing gauge symmetries in the Hamiltonian approach. Contact manifolds as well as locally conformal symplectic manifolds are discussed, as main instances of Jacobi manifolds.

Abstract We use feral pseudoholomorphic curves and adiabatic degeneration to prove an extended version of the so-called ‘almost existence result’ for regular compact Hamiltonian energy surfaces. That is, that for a variety of symplectic manifolds equipped with a Hamiltonian, almost every (non-empty) compact energy level has a periodic orbit.
