This paper analyzes a novel, cost-effective planar waveguide solar concentrator design that is inspired by cellular hexagonal structures in nature with the benefits of facile installation and low operation and maintenance cost. A coupled thermal and optical analysis of solar irradiation through an ideal hexagonal waveguide concentrator integrated with a linear receiver is presented, along with a cost analysis methodology, to establish the upper limit of performance. The techno-economic model, coupled with numerical optimization, is used to determine designs that maximized power density and minimized the cost of heat in the temperature range of 100–250 °C, which constitutes more than half of the industrial process heat demand. Depending on the incident solar irradiation and the application temperature, the cost of heat for the optimal design configuration ranged between 0.1–0.27 $/W and 0.075–0.18 $/W for waveguide made of ZK7 glass and polycarbonate, respectively. A techno-economic analysis showed the potential of the technology to achieve cost as low as 80 $/m2 and 61 $/m2 for waveguide made of ZK7 glass and polycarbonate material, respectively, which is less than half the cost of state-of-the-art parabolic trough concentrators. Overall, the hexagonal waveguide solar concentrator technology shows immense potential for decarbonizing the industrial process heat and thermal desalination sectors.

In view of the inadequate implementation of the grid operation and maintenance standards and specifications current, the lack of planning in cost usage, and the inability to achieve single equipment collection of costs, taking 220kV substation as an example, this paper proposes a single asset operation and maintenance cost calculation method based on grid standard operations, and puts forward suggestions on the cost management of grid equipment operation and maintenance. Through verification and analysis with the relevant provisions of the cost supervision and examination method, the power grid company will face greater operating pressure, and the cost management level needs to be further improved. Through the calculation of the operation and maintenance cost of a single asset, it provides a reference basis for the distribution of the operation and maintenance cost of the power grid enterprise, and at the same time provides a reasonable explanation for the power grid enterprise to adapt to the cost supervision and review of the transportation dispatching pricing.

In the context of the company's cost-reduction reform, lean production operation and maintenance cost management as the goal, production and maintenance cost analysis as the carrier, the existing power grid production and maintenance business and financial accounting costs to achieve "industry-finance integration" as the goal of management projects. Under the strategic background of reducing cost and increasing benefit, the implementation of this project is of great significance to optimize the main part of the cost of the company to optimize the configuration of production cost, to control reasonably, to enhance management.

The current complex internal and external situation puts forward higher requirements for the precise investment of funds for power grid companies. This paper proposes a two-stage operation and maintenance cost input optimization allocation technology based on comprehensive evaluation and Gini coefficient adjustment. This technology firstly identifies the influencing factors of operation and maintenance cost input, and combines the result of factor identification to construct an evaluation index system based on asset status and scale attributes. Through comprehensive evaluation and collection of index-related data, it determines the initial distribution coefficients and initial distribution coefficients of related enterprises based on the entropy weight method. Then combined with the principle of Gini coefficient, optimize the initial allocation plan to obtain the final investment allocation quota. This paper conducts empirical analysis with 10 companies as the research object, and the results show that the model can provide theoretical support and method reference for reasonable investment and reasonable decision-making of operation and maintenance costs of power grid companies under the requirements of precise investment management and control.
