A C-paracompact is a topological space X associated with a paracompact space Y and a bijective function f : X −→ Y satisfying that f A: A −→ f(A) is a homeomorphism for each compact subspace A ⊆ X. Furthermore, X is called C2-paracompact if Y is T2 paracompact. In this article, we discuss the above concepts and answer the problem of Arhangel’ski ̆i. Moreover, we prove that the sigma product Σ(0) can not be condensed onto a T2 paracompact space.

Existence of expansivity for group action [Formula: see text] depends on algebraic properties of [Formula: see text] and the topology of [Formula: see text]. We give an expansive action of a solvable group on [Formula: see text] while there is no expansive action of a solvable group on a dendrite [Formula: see text]. We prove that a continuous action [Formula: see text] on a compact metric space [Formula: see text] is expansive if and only if there exists an open cover [Formula: see text] such that for any other open cover [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] for some finite set [Formula: see text]. In this paper, we introduce the notion of topological expansivity of a group action [Formula: see text] on a [Formula: see text]-paracompact space [Formula: see text]. If a [Formula: see text]-paracompact space [Formula: see text] admits topologically expansive action, then [Formula: see text] is Hausdorff space. We also show that a continuous action [Formula: see text] of a finitely generated group [Formula: see text] on a compact Hausdorff uniform space [Formula: see text] is expansive with an expansive neighborhood [Formula: see text] if and only if for every [Formula: see text] there is an entourage [Formula: see text] such that for every two [Formula: see text]-pseudo orbit [Formula: see text] if [Formula: see text] for all [Formula: see text], then [Formula: see text] for all [Formula: see text]. Finally, we introduce measure [Formula: see text]-expansive actions on a uniform space. The set of all [Formula: see text]-expansive measures with common expansive neighborhood for a group action [Formula: see text] is a convex, closed and [Formula: see text]-invariant subset of the set of all Borel probability measures on [Formula: see text]. Also, we show that a group action [Formula: see text] is expansive if all Borel probability measures are [Formula: see text]-expansive or all Dirac measures [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], have a common expansive neighborhood.

A topological space X is an S-paracompact if there exists a bijective function f from X onto a paracompact space Y such that for every separable subspace A of X the restriction map f|A from A onto f (A) is a homeomorphism. Moreover, if Y is Hausdorff, then X is called S2-paracompact. We investigate these two properties.

AbstractWe prove that any continuous mapping f:E→Y on a completely metrizable subspace E of a perfect paracompact space X can be extended to a Lebesgue class one mapping g:X→Y (that is, for every open set V in Y the preimage g−1(V ) is an Fσ-set in X) with values in an arbitrary topological space Y.

<p>We show that X is cofinitely projective if and only if it is a finite union of Alexandroff compactatifications of discrete spaces. We also prove that X is co-countably projective if and only if X admits no disjoint infinite family of uncountable cozero sets. It is shown that a paracompact space X is co-countably projective if and only if there exists a finite set B C X such that B C U ϵ τ (X) implies │X\U│ ≤ ω. In case of existence of such a B we will say that X is concentrated around B. We prove that there exists a space Y which is co-countably projective while there is no finite set B C Y around which Y is concentrated. We show that any metrizable co-countably projective space is countable. An important corollary is that every co-countably projective topological group is countable.</p>

AbstractIt is known that the product ω1 × X of ω1 with an M1-spacemay be nonnormal. In this paper we prove that the product κ × X of an uncountable regular cardinal κ with a paracompact semi-stratifiable space is normal iff it is countably paracompact. We also give a sufficient condition under which the product of a normal space with a paracompact space is normal, from which many theorems involving such a product with a countably compact factor can be derived.
