Anomalies of uterus might be encountered at Caesarean Section or routine investigation. In this article, we present a rare case of double horns of uterus completely separated. One of them is situated retroperitoneally. Therefore, MRI or CT scans is recommend for unclassified Mullerian anomalies, to confirm pelvic or other anomalies and to reduce the likelihood of complications arising during the operation or delivery.

Rotavirus groups A, B, and C (RVA, RVB, and RVC, respectively) have been the most prevalent and pathogenic in pigs. To date, immunohistochemistry is only available for RVA because of the lack of commercial antibodies for RVB and RVC. We developed a novel in situ hybridization RNA-based chromogenic technique (ISH-RNA) to detect and subtype RVA, RVB, and RVC. We evaluated 33 samples that were reverse-transcription PCR positive for RVA, RVB, and/or RVC. ISH-RNA was able to detect as few as 103 RV RNA copies/mL. The new ISH-RNA test can be useful for routine investigation of rotavirus enteritis in order to guide strategies for control of the infection in pigs, but a full validation study needs to be completed. Pathogenesis studies may be conducted using ISH-RNA based on the identification of replicating virus.

Splenic cyst is an uncommon problem in surgical practice. It is usually diagnosed in scanning procedure. In some cases it produces symptoms like abdominal mass, abdominal pain, distention, constipation either due to haemorrhage, rupture or big size. In our case, patient presents with abdominal pain, distention, vomiting, constipation and respiratory embarrassment. Routine investigation was done and diagnosis was confirmed after laparotomy, Splenectomy was done. Post operative recovery was good.Bang Med J (Khulna) 2016; 49 : 34-36
