Introduction: Hemorrhoids, also called piles, co-related with Arsha in Ayurveda, are swollen veins in the anus and the lower rectum, similar to varicose veins. Hemorrhoids can develop inside the rectum known as internal hemorrhoids or under the skin around the anus known as external hemorrhoids. Worldwide, the prevalence of symptomatic hemorrhoids is estimated at 4.4% in the general population. Objectives: This is a clinical study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of the Sapta Winshati Guggulu in the management of Shushkarsha. Methodology: 40 patients diagnosed with Shushkarsha were randomly selected to this study and they were randomly divided into two groups and was named as the Group-A (Tested group) and the Group-B (Control group). All the patients (both A and B groups) were treated by Abhayarishta, Chirabilwa Kwatha and Sukumara Churna. Only Group-A (testing group) was additionally treated with Sapta Winshati Guggulu. Data collection: Subjective parameters such as pain and Objective parameters such as circumference of the pile and distance of the prolapse were collected. Data analysis: All the subjective and objective parameters were entered by using reputed methods and were analyzed by using graphs and figures and SPSS Statistical Software. Results: p-value and t-value of Group-A and Group-B were statistically significant. But, Significant level of Group-A was higher than Group-B. Conclusion: According to the findings, finally it can be concluded that the Sapta Winshati Guggulu has remarkable effect in the management of the Shushkarsha. There are insufficient data in the literature on the actual frequency and prevalence of hemorrhoids among the general population. The incidence of hemorrhoids during pregnancy and in the postpartum period, according to various authors, varies considerably: from a third of women to 86%. The frequency of thrombosis of external hemorrhoids and cracks of the anus in the postpartum period is 25–33%. The aim is to analyze data on the frequency of hemorrhoids during pregnancy and within postpartum period, as well as data on the impact of perianal disorders on the quality of life of women; substantiate recommendations for improving the quality of life of such women. Materials and methods. The analysis of databases from medical research PubMed, MedScape, NCBI by keywords: hemorrhoids, pregnancy, postpartum period, causes, diagnosis, treatment, quality of life. 2000 publications were found, of which, according to relevant information, 4 were selected for analysis. The selection criteria were: cohort of subjects (at least 200 people), prospectiveness of observation (pregnancy and postpartum period), availability of data on medical examination. The information-analytical method and content-analysis are used. Results and conclusions. Hemorrhoids are a frequent complication during pregnancy and in the postpartum period. Perianal disease reduces the quality of life of women during pregnancy and in the postpartum period and requires improved care recommendations. Reparon Herbal, which contains herbal substances and sucralfate, according to the instructions, can be used during pregnancy and in the postpartum period to reduce the clinical manifestations of hemorrhoids, which will improve the quality of life of such women. The problem of hemorrhoids treatment has been important for more then two thousand years. After the standard closed hemmorroidectomy in the postoperative period pain syndrome long-term rehabilitation of patients, a large number of relapses, can be observed. Implementation method of rubber band ligation, as well as the trans anal doppler-guided hemorrhoidal artery ligation, are an alternative to hemorrhoidectomy in patients with hemorrhoids stage III. The analysis of treatment result was in 75 patients with chronic hemorrhoids treated at proctologic ward in the station Vitebsk (since 2008 II Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital) from 2002 to 2009. Accordiny to method of treatment for chronic hemorrhoids three groups of patients. Application were distinguished of trans-anal disarterization of internal hemorrhoids under doppler control with mucopexy and lifting and rubber band ligation gives positive results. In reduction of patients disability from 18,4 ± 0,5 days to 1,3 ± 0,3 days (p < 0,05) rehabilitation of the patients on faster than rehabilitation after using traditional techniques.
