Although numerous styles have been utilized to study leadership focusing on task, role, work, managerial, spiritual and ethical, however there is no agreement on the ethnic style. The debate over this issue as related to the study of ethical leadership transforms into ethnic, especially natural roles of Indonesian’s leaders. In this paper two major approaches phenomenology and ethnography are examined to gaining the theory and the latter is presented the natural roles of ethnic leaders. This study proofs that (1) the concept of ethnic leadership is the ability to spread the belief, value, culture, and norm of ancestry. Also, (2) natural roles of ethnic leaders are transcendent, endogen and reflection of roles.

Objectives - The models used in the empirical study of leadership kyai in Madura ethnic in line with the more modern environment changes. Reflecting the environmental change this paper aims to propose a framework for leadership of charismatic kyai in Madura ethnic-based impact on the welfare of stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) wide. The design / methodology / approach - This paper offers a conceptual framework that integrates the components of the leadership of religious scholars in ethnic Madurese kharismatic.Findings -  This framework is useful for academics and regions. This framework can help steer academics to various existing literature charismatic leadership and help researchers development empirical studies that describe ethnic leadership kyai in Madurese. For the professional, this framework can be used as guidance in building a successful region.Research/ Limitations/ implications - This paper does not examine empirically the proposed framework. However, this paper provides suggestions for future research, including reviewing the empirical structural relationships in this framework.

The purpose of this research is to developing a leadership model of Tionghoa Ethnic in West Java, through a survey at Fuqing Association in West Java. The study was using a purposive sampling technique in selecting 4 (four) Fuqing Association in West Java, in Bandung, Bogor, Cianjur and Sukabumi. A purposive sampling also applied in selecting respondents. A Collecting Data Technique was using a questionnaires and interviews. An Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were used to analyzing Tionghoa’s Ethnic leadership model in West Java. Exploratory Factor Analysis was used to examine a research model consists of 8 (eight) leadership dimension. A confirmatory factor analysis with partial least square method was used to re-examine a result models. The results of research is a West Java Tionghoa ethnic leadership models, namely Confucius Sunda Leadership Model. A Confucius Sunda Leadership Model describes a charismatic leader figure which protecting, leads people, assisting and encourage his followers to achieve an organization’s vision and mission together. A Confucius Sunda Leadership Model has its contribution in developing a leadership theory.
