The ACM Proceedings of the ACM on Measurement and Analysis of Computing Systems (POMACS) focuses on the measurement and performance evaluation of computer systems and operates in close collaboration with the ACM Special Interest Group SIGMETRICS. All papers in this issue of POMACS will be presented during the ACM SIGMETRICS/Performance 2022 conference. The issue contains papers selected by the editorial board via a rigorous review process that follows a hybrid conference and journal model, with reviews conducted by the 93 members of our POMACS editorial board. Each paper was either conditionally accepted (and shepherded), allowed a "one-shot" revision (to be resubmitted to one of the subsequent two deadlines), or rejected (with resubmission allowed after a year). For this issue, which represents the summer deadline, POMACS publishes 17 papers out of 71 submissions. All submitted papers received at least 3 reviews and we held an online TPC meeting. Based on the indicated primary track, roughly 37% of the submissions were in the Theory track, 30% were in the Measurement & Applied Modeling track, 20% were in the Systems track, and 14% were in the Learning track. Many people contributed to the success of this issue of POMACS. First, we would like to thank the authors, who submitted their best work to SIGMETRICS/POMACS. Second, we would like to thank the TPC members who provided constructive feedback in their reviews to authors and participated in the online discussions and TPC meetings. We also thank the several external reviewers who provided their expert opinion on specific submissions that required additional input. We are also grateful to the SIGMETRICS Board Chair, Giuliano Casale, and to past TPC Chairs, Anshul Gandhi, Negar Kiyavash, and Jia Wang, who provided a wealth of information and guidance (including a template for writing this editorial note!). Finally, we are grateful to the Organization Committee and to the SIGMETRICS Board for their ongoing efforts and initiatives for creating an exciting program for ACM SIGMETRICS/Performance 2022.

Abstract This volume of “IOP Conference Series: Material Science and Engineering” contains the selected papers presented at the 13th International Conference on Development and Modernization of the Manufacturing (RIM 2021), which was held in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) from 29th September to 1st October 2021. Since 1997, the Faculty of Technical Engineering of the University of Bihać has successfully organized and held 13 international scientific conferences RIM on a bi-annual basis in 4 different countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Egypt, and Montenegro. The main goal of the Conference is to bring together international scientists, engineers, industrialists, and experts providing them a unique platform for sharing new ideas and the recent developments in various areas of engineering. NOTITLE. THE MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL CHAIRS It is our great pleasure to welcome all of you to the PHM 2021 Zhengzhou International Conference. In the past few years, this annual conference represented one of the largest gatherings of researchers and professionals to discuss most recent advancements in prognostics and system health management. This year, however, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting travel restrictions in many regions impose unprecedented challenges to the organization of the conference. Instead of meetings fully in person, the Conference Organization Committee has decided to shift the conference to a hybrid mode, with which some authors attended this conference in person while others participated in this conference virtually via a shared Zoom link. We hope this shift in conference mode will not affect your enthusiasm in participating in the conference and discussions. We are pleased to invite two well-known experts in the field to deliver keynote speeches at this conference: Professor Wilson Wang, Professor and University Research Chair in Intelligent Diagnostics and Prognostics of Engineering Systems, Lakehead University, Canada, and his talk is on “Fault diagnosis in gearboxes”; Dr. Yiqiang Chen, Deputy Chief Engineer of National Key Laboratory, China Electronic Product Reliability and Environmental Testing Research Institute, China, and his talk is about “Prognostic and health management technology for electric system based on PoF and data-driven method”. The conference program is also offering three paper oral presentation sessions and one poster session, arranged in the late morning and entire afternoon on October 23. This conference could not be organized without the earnest efforts from all our organization committee members. The conference is also indebted to dozens of volunteers who contributed to the various processes of the conference. It has been a great privilege for both of us to serve as the General Chairs of PHM 2021 Zhengzhou and it is our hope that you find the conference fulfilling and enjoyable. We thank you for your support and wish you a pleasant experience at PHM 2021 Zhengzhou. Sincerely, Rongjie Huang Wenliao Du General Chairs, PHM2021 Zhengzhou International Conference Professors, Zhengzhou University of Light Industry List of KEYNOTE SPEAKERS, CONFERENCE ORGANIZATION COMMITTEE, LIST OF EDITORS are available in this pdf.

This special issue of the International Journal of Serious Games offers very valuable extensions to the best papers of the 2020 edition of the GaLA conference. The local organization committee was composed of computer scientists of Laval (France), affiliated to Le Mans Université. From the 9th to the 10th of December 2020, 500 participants attended to a well-organized conference, through their virtual avatars, and listened to 37 presentations on Serious Games and Gamification. A special session was related to Virtual Reality, in a pedagogical and gaming context.  The four extended papers, published in this journal, significantly extend their original work, and were accepted through a regular peer-review process for this special issue.
