Eye Detection is used in many applications like pattern recognition, biometric, surveillance system and many other systems. In this paper, a new method is presented to detect and extract the overall shape of one eye from image depending on two principles Helmholtz & Gestalt. According to the principle of perception by Helmholz, any observed geometric shape is perceptually "meaningful" if its repetition number is very small in image with random distribution. To achieve this goal, Gestalt Principle states that humans see things either through grouping its similar elements or recognize patterns. In general, according to Gestalt Principle, humans see things through general description of these things. This paper utilizes these two principles to recognize and extract eye part from image. Java programming language and OpenCV library for image processing are used for this purpose. Good results are obtained from this proposed method, where 88.89% was obtained as a detection rate taking into account that the average execution time is about 0.23 in seconds.

In this paper, we propose an efficient Multi-Circle detector which follows the fixed search order. The method makes use of horizontal and vertical search to realize circle detection, which is named as HVCD. First, this method computes edge areas in a given image. The edge areas could be divided into some regions by means of region growing. Each of regions could be efficiently searched to achieve not only one-pixel wide edges but edge segments as well. Next, the candidate circles can be extracted from every edge segment. Finally, the circle candidates could be validated with the help of Helmholtz principle. Experimental results demonstrate that HVCD could effectively detect circles on synthetic and natural images on the one hand; on the other hand, HVCD here could solve the weakness in the process of circle Hough transform implementation and EDcircles implementation.

A theory of thermodynamics has been recently formulated and derived on the basis of R\'enyi entropy and its relative versions. In this framework, the concepts of partition function, internal energy and free energy are defined, and fundamental quantum thermodynamical inequalities are deduced. In the context of R\'enyi's thermodynamics, the variational Helmholtz principle is stated and the condition of equilibrium is analyzed. The %obtained results reduce to the von Neumann ones when the R\'enyi entropic parameter $\alpha$ approaches 1. The main goal of the article is to give simple and self-contained proofs of important known results in quantum thermodynamics and information theory, using only standard matrix analysis and majorization theory.
