According to the definition of sequence shadowing property and regularly recurrent point in the inverse limit space, we introduce the concept of sequence shadowing property and regularly recurrent point in the double inverse limit space and study their dynamical properties. The following results are obtained: (1) Regularly recurrent point sets of the double shift map σ f ∘ σ g are equal to the double inverse limit space of the double self-map f ∘ g in the regularly recurrent point sets. (2) The double self-map f ∘ g has sequence shadowing property if and only if the double shift map σ f ∘ σ g has sequence shadowing property. Thus, the conclusions of sequence shadowing property and regularly recurrent point are generalized to the double inverse limit space.

Abstract In this paper, we introduced the concept of derivation on equality algebra E by using the notions of inner and outer derivations. Then we investigated some properties of (inner, outer) derivation and we introduced some suitable conditions that they help us to define a derivation on E. We introduced kernel and fixed point sets of derivation on E and prove that under which condition they are filters of E. Finally we prove that the equivalence relations on (E,⇝, 1) coincide with the equivalence relations on E with derivation d.(2010) MSC: 03G25, 06B10, 06B99.

In this paper, we presented some new weaker conditions on the Proinov-type contractions which guarantees that a self-mapping T has a unique fixed point in terms of rational forms. Our main results improved the conclusions provided by Andreea Fulga (On (ψ,φ)−Rational Contractions) in which the continuity assumption can either be reduced to orbital continuity, k−continuity, continuity of Tk, T-orbital lower semi-continuity or even it can be removed. Meanwhile, the assumption of monotonicity on auxiliary functions is also removed from our main results. Moreover, based on the obtained fixed point results and the property of symmetry, we propose several Proinov-type contractions for a pair of self-mappings (P,Q) which will ensure the existence of the unique common fixed point of a pair of self-mappings (P,Q). Finally, we obtained some results related to fixed figures such as fixed circles or fixed discs which are symmetrical under the effect of self mappings on metric spaces, we proposed some new types of (ψ,φ)c−rational contractions and obtained the corresponding fixed figure theorems on metric spaces. Several examples are provided to indicate the validity of the results presented.

AbstractThe problem of matching point clouds is an efficient way of registration, which is significant for many research fields including computer vision, machine learning, and robotics. There may be linear or non-linear transformation between point clouds, but determining the affine relation is more challenging among linear cases. Various methods have been presented to overcome this problem in the literature and one of them is the affine variant of the iterative closest point (ICP) algorithm. However, traditional affine ICP variants are highly sensitive to effects such as noises, deformations, and outliers; the least-square metric is substituted with the correntropy criterion to increase the robustness of ICPs to such effects. Correntropy-based robust affine ICPs available in the literature use point-to-point metric to estimate transformation between point clouds. Conversely, in this study, a line/surface normal that examines point-to-curve or point-to-plane distances is employed together with the correntropy criterion for affine point cloud registration problems. First, the maximum correntropy criterion measure is built for line/surface normal conditions. Then, the closed-form solution that maximizes the similarity between point sets is achieved for 2D registration and extended for 3D registration. Finally, the application procedure of the developed robust affine ICP method is given and its registration performance is examined through extensive experiments on 2D and 3D point sets. The results achieved highlight that our method can align point clouds more robustly and precisely than the state-of-the-art methods in the literature, while the registration time of the process remains at reasonable levels.

A formula is presented for the generation of chiral m-fold multiply twinned two-dimensional point sets of even twin modulus m > 6 from an integer inclination sequence; in particular, it is discussed for the first three non-degenerate cases m = 8, 10, 12, which share a connection to the aperiodic crystallography of axial quasicrystals exhibiting octagonal, decagonal and dodecagonal long-range orientational order and symmetry.

Abstract We consider the pure point part of the diffraction on families of aperiodic point sets obeying common local rules. It is shown that imposing such rules results in linear constraints on the partial diffraction amplitudes. These relations can be explicitly derived from the geometry of the prototile space representing the local rules.

Abstract Vision-assisted technologies in industry such as Augmented Reality (AR) are increasingly popular. They require high positioning accuracy and robustness in industrial manual operation environments. However the narrow space and moving hands or tools may occlude or obscure local visual features of operation environments, affect the positioning accuracy and robustness of operating position. It may even cause misoperation of operators because of misguidance. This paper proposes a marker-less monocular vision point positioning method for vision-assisted manual operation in industrial environments. The proposed method can accurately and robustly locate the target point of operation using constraint minimization method even the target area has no corresponding visual features in the case of occlusion and improper illumination. The proposed method has three phases: intersection generation, intersection optimization and target point solving. In the intersection generation stage, a certain number intersections of epipolar lines are generated as candidate target points using fundamental matrices. Here the solving constraint is converted from point-to-line to point-to-points. In the intersection optimization stage, the intersections are optimized to two different sets through the iterative linear fitting and geometric mean absolute error methods. Here the solving constraint is converted from point-to-points to point-to-point sets. In the target point solving stage, the target point is solved as a constrained minimization problem based on the distribution constraint of the two intersection sets. Here the solving constraint is converted from point-to-point sets to point-to-point and the unique optimal solution is obtained as the target point. The experimental results show that this method has a better accuracy and robustness than the traditional homography matrix method for the practical industrial operation scenes.

Resonance problems encountered in vehicle-bridge interaction (VBI) have attracted widespread concern over the past decades. Due to system random characteristics, the prediction of resonant speeds and responses will become more complicated. To this end, this study presents stochastic analysis on the resonance of railway trains moving over a series of simply supported bridges with consideration of the randomness of system parameters. A train-slab track-bridge (TSB) vertically coupled dynamics model is established following the basic principle of vehicle-track-coupled dynamics. The railway train is composed of multiple vehicles, and each of them is built by seven rigid parts assigned with a total of 10 degrees of freedom. The rail, track slab, and bridge are considered as Euler–Bernoulli beams, and the vibration equations of which are established by the modal superposition method (MSM). Except for the nonlinear wheel-rail interaction based on the Hertz contact theory, the other coupling relations between each subsystem are assumed to be linear elastic. The number theory method is employed to obtain the representative sample point sets of the random parameters, and the flow trajectories of probabilities for the TSB dynamics system are captured by a probability density evolution method (PDEM). Numerical results indicate that the maximum bridge and vehicle responses are mainly dominated by the primary train-induced resonant speed; the last vehicle of a train will be more seriously excited when the bridges are set in resonance by the train; the resonant speeds and responses are rather sensitive to the system randomness, and the possible maximum amplitudes predicted by the PDEM are significantly underestimated by the traditional deterministic method; optimized parameters of the TSB system are preliminary obtained based on the representative point sets and imposed screening conditions.
