Abstract We prove that torsors under parahoric group schemes on the punctured spectrum of Fontaine’s ring A inf {A_{\mathrm{inf}}} , extend to the whole spectrum. Using descent we can extend a similar result for the ring 𝔖 {\mathfrak{S}} of Kisin and Pappas to full generality. Moreover, we treat similarly the case of equal characteristic. As applications we extend results of Ivanov on exactness of the loop functor and present the construction of a canonical specialization map from the B dR + {B^{+}_{\mathrm{dR}}} -affine Grassmannian to the Witt vector affine flag variety.

In quantum geometric Langlands, the Satake equivalence plays a less prominent role than in the classical theory. Gaitsgory and Lurie proposed a conjectural substitute, later termed the fundamental local equivalence. With a few exceptions, we prove this conjecture and its extension to the affine flag variety by using what amount to Soergel module techniques.

Abstract Let $G$ be a split connected reductive group over a finite field of characteristic $p > 2$ such that $G_\text {der}$ is absolutely almost simple. We give a geometric construction of perverse $\mathbb {F}_p$ -sheaves on the Iwahori affine flag variety of $G$ which are central with respect to the convolution product. We deduce an explicit formula for an isomorphism from the spherical mod $p$ Hecke algebra to the center of the Iwahori mod $p$ Hecke algebra. We also give a formula for the central integral Bernstein elements in the Iwahori mod $p$ Hecke algebra. To accomplish these goals we construct a nearby cycles functor for perverse $\mathbb {F}_p$ -sheaves and we use Frobenius splitting techniques to prove some properties of this functor. We also prove that certain equal characteristic analogues of local models of Shimura varieties are strongly $F$ -regular, and hence they are $F$ -rational and have pseudo-rational singularities.

Abstract The affine Deligne–Lusztig variety $X_w(b)$ in the affine flag variety of a reductive group ${\mathbf G}$ depends on two parameters: the $\sigma $ -conjugacy class $[b]$ and the element w in the Iwahori–Weyl group $\tilde {W}$ of ${\mathbf G}$ . In this paper, for any given $\sigma $ -conjugacy class $[b]$ , we determine the nonemptiness pattern and the dimension formula of $X_w(b)$ for most $w \in \tilde {W}$ .

This chapter reviews affine flag varieties. It generalizes some of the previous results to the case where G over Zp is a parahoric group scheme. In fact, slightly more generally, it allows the case that the special fiber is not connected, with connected component of the identity G? being a parahoric group scheme. This case comes up naturally in the classical definition of Rapoport-Zink spaces. The chapter first discusses the Witt vector affine flag variety over Fp. This is an increasing union of perfections of quasiprojective varieties along closed immersions. In the case that G° is parahoric, one gets ind-properness.

International audience We construct the affine version of the Fomin-Kirillov algebra, called the affine FK algebra, to investigatethe combinatorics of affine Schubert calculus for typeA. We introduce Murnaghan-Nakayama elements and Dunklelements in the affine FK algebra. We show that they are commutative as Bruhat operators, and the commutativealgebra generated by these operators is isomorphic to the cohomology of the affine flag variety. As a byproduct, weobtain Murnaghan-Nakayama rules both for the affine Schubert polynomials and affine Stanley symmetric functions. This enable us to expressk-Schur functions in terms of power sum symmetric functions. We also provide the defi-nition of the affine Schubert polynomials, polynomial representatives of the Schubert basis in the cohomology of theaffine flag variety.

International audience We prove the affine Pieri rule for the cohomology of the affine flag variety conjectured by Lam, Lapointe, Morse and Shimozono. We study the cap operator on the affine nilHecke ring that is motivated by Kostant and Kumar’s work on the equivariant cohomology of the affine flag variety. We show that the cap operators for Pieri elements are the same as Pieri operators defined by Berg, Saliola and Serrano. This establishes the affine Pieri rule.
