I apply my “global” theory of vagueness to the question of vague identity. I consider, in particular, the application of the theory to the case of fission and attempt to show that the theory is able to preserve the connection between identity and what matters and between identity and psychological continuity.

My paper provides reasons in support of the view that vague identity claims originate from a conflict between rigidity and precision in designation. To put this stricly, let x be the referent of the referential terms P and Q. Then, that the proposition “that any x being both a P and a Q” is vague involves that the semantic intuitions at work in P and Q reveal a conflict between P and Q being simultaneously rigid and precise designators. After having shortly commented on an example of vague identity claim, I make the case for my proposal, by discussing how reference by baptism conflicts with descriptive attitudes towards understanding conceptual contents.

The purpose of this research is to know the vague of crime perpetrator identity by journalist from law number 40/1990 on Pers and Penal Code Perspective and to know the rule of police in enforcing the law related to vague of crime perpetrator identity in observuing journalist investigation result. The type of this research field is filed research in which data collection done by interviewing several parties related to research. Besides, writer also make literature research through related data and books. Then, data taken is analysed qualitatively and explained descriptively.Based on analysis, writer conclude that: very side interpretation on rejection right is legal weakness that can be used by journalist to do action which vague identity if crime perpetrator. The action of vague crime perpetrator identity fey on Artivle 165 Indonesia Penal Code which oblige every citizen to report known to police officer. The usage of rejection right by journalist not suit to article 165 Indonesia Penal Code that can be used to vague informan identity who is witness, child crime perpetrator and rape victim as journalist ethic code. Keywords: The Vague of Perpetrator Identity, Journalist, Law Number 40/1999 on Pers, Indonesian Penal Code.

In this chapter the theory of propositional vagueness is generalized to vagueness at other types. Once propositional vagueness is supplemented with a primitive notion of objectual vagueness, it can be seen that property vagueness, adverbial vagueness, operator vagueness, and so on, may all be defined. The chapter examines some widely discussed accounts of objectual vagueness that understand objectual vagueness as standing in vague identity or mereological relations. A more general test for objectual vagueness is proposed, according to which an object is vague if it converts any precise property to a vague proposition.

Packaging vague identity, is the packaging that does not give clear information about the contents of the packed product, in this case are specific to the product needs of the household / consumer products, often everyday, more obvious when you're shopping at the supermarket, sensation very stunning visual eye, the colors, images and shapes capable of stopping the views of prospective consumers in packaging that 'teasing', it was due to good aesthetic qualities, but in reality many packaging designs negligent in giving the perception of 'immediately' to the identity of the contents of the packed product , this issue becomes crucial because it can be misleading or wrong perception of users, by taking random samples of products circulating in the community, trying to describe and analyze a simple through the principle of Visual Communication Design, hoping the result will remind the designers more aware of packaging labels will set out the communication function in media packaging, to provide specific information with respect to visual hierarchy to yield a clear identity of the product packaged.
